5. Integrate technology driven open space experience Use of technology in the outdoor environment can invigorate the visitor experience and highlight the vast array of activities; events and functioning of the spaces that help people meaningfully connect with and actively engage audiences by inviting them to participate and contribute. The X-Sing to Connect enabled applications will encompass all things related to active travel and sustainability for the broader Corridor.

This may include information such as events calendar, transport information, associated organisation lists and links, community forum discussion rooms, information page on initiatives platforms. The X-Sing to Connect Active Travel Map could also represent and promote walking and cycling routes, destinations, time sheds, light rail stops and community highlights.

“X-SING TO CONNECT” WILL INSPIRE THE COMMUNITY, CELEBRATE NATURE, UNLOCK VALUE IN THE HEART OF THE CITY AND CONNECT PEOPLE TO THE NATURAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE ACROSS THE LENGTH OF SINGAPORE.

TOCONNECT

THE RAIL CORRIDOR IS A PLACE BRIMMING WITH UNEXPLORED POTENTIAL. IT HAS DEEP HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE, BY PROVIDING AN OPEN SPACE SETTING AND REMOVING THE FORMER RAIL ECO CORRIDOR BARRIER THE CORRIDOR WILL BE A FANTASTIC PLACE CONNECTING TRANSITION TO SINGAPORE’S PEOPLE AND PLACES LIKE NO OTHER. THIS LINEAR GARDENS BY THE OPEN SPACE CROSSING WILL CREATE DESTINATIONS TO ENJOY STRAITS: A NEW THAT ARE ROOTED IN THE CULTURE AND HISTORY OF SINGAPORE’S WETLAND AND DIVERSE COMMUNITIES TO PROMOTE A HEALTHY AND MANGROVE PARK SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE. WE HAVE IDENTIFIED TWELVE (12) KEY CONNECTING NODES OR “PLATFORMS” AND TWO (2) ECO CORRIDORS ALONG THE 24 KM CORRIDOR CONNECTING SINGAPORE FROM NORTH COAST TO SOUTH COAST. THESE PLATFORMS WILL REALIZE THE “X-SING TO CONNECT” CONCEPT THROUGH RAIL TO TRAIL CONNECTIONS, ACTIVE NON-MOTORIZED TRAVEL AND OPPORTUNITIES OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AT ALL TIMES. FURTHER, THESE WILL BE INTEGRATED WITH CURATED KEY MOMENTS THAT BECOME PERMANENT IDENTIFIABLE ARCHITECTURAL INSTALLATIONS.
