A Day in the Life of 4 Friendships at IHAWAN...

“You can’t control everything. Sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out. Let go a little and just let life happen.” – Kody Keplinger

It was just an ordinary day that my good friends and I planned on going out. Since it has been awhile, we thought of having an early dinner at IHAWAN of Mama Aki in Shinjuku, Tokyo. We all missed each other and the good food at Ihawan. Instantly, we became nostalgic when we entered the restaurant. We suddenly missed UTAWIT as we always do one of the Regional Qualifying Rounds here.

Mama Aki does not do Tabehodai buffet as of yet because of corona virus. But Ala Carte of sinigang, tokwa’t baboy, crispy pata and

pinakbet was a feast to the tummy already. Oh my, as usual, food at IHAWAN was superb. Next, we played our favorite songs and found ourselves immersed on singing and dancing this time. There were no other customers yet at that time so we sang and danced our hearts out. Then, suddenly, Mama Aki came and joined us singing and dancing.

I was laughing and enjoying so much when I thought that it’s been months I haven’t laughed, danced and sang like this. Thank you, Mama Aki, for your warm hospitality. Belated Happy Birthday last September 1st. You have been good to the FilCom and UTAWIT. We know

that and we can feel it. Wishing you more success in your business.
