he M/Y IRIMARI, the very first of Sunrise Yachts’ new 63 series, was recently revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show, after 30 months of construction. IRIMARI is a majestic ocean-going megayacht with transoceanic range, featuring all the luxury amenities you would expect on such a yacht, and destined to offer ultimate comfort at sea for extended cruising and a most memorable experience. The vessel’s graceful lines and perfect proportions were penned by the renowned studio of Espen Oeino, who is also responsible for the exterior design of such incredible yachts as the 88.5m Solange, the 140m Ocean Victory, and the colossal 155m Al Said, which belongs to HM Sultan Qaboos of Oman and is the fourth largest yacht in the world. The IRIMARI presents an ideal combination of spectacular living spaces whose impressive dimensions are large enough to be visually breathtaking, and yet still allow for berthing at most superyacht marinas worldwide. Yacht Design of Antalya. She is a full-displacement motor yacht with a high-tensile steel hull and aluminium superstructure. She was initially launched in April of this year, and even that story is unique, as it was the first time ever that a yacht of this kind had been launched by heavy lifter ship. The IRIMARI was lifted from her cradle on the dock and gently lowered into the water by two 700-tonne cranes from the heavy lifter HHL Valparaiso, in a manoeuvre that had all involved holding their breath until it was successfully completed. The vessel weighed in bang on target, and settled into her lines perfectly with no need for ballasting. IRIMARI is 63 metres long, with a maximum beam of 12.34m, and a gross tonnage of 1460GT. She sleeps 12 guests, with a crew of 16 plus captain. IRIMARI is capable of cruising beyond 5000 miles at a speed of 12 knots, and reaching a top speed of 17 knots, thanks to propulsion from twin MTU 12V4000M63 1500kW engines.
