I’

ve been working with this owner for eight years. In 2011, he started to look around. He wanted to

have something nearly ready, but he wasn’t satisfied with what was around him. Then I met with Sunrise Yachts. In 2012, the owner signed the contract for a new build. I was very lucky to have a lot of influence on the design of Irimari in terms of functionality. I’m an architect myself. I quit my job because I wanted to go on sea, so it was a good combination of skills: I know how a yacht functions and also the important aesthetic side. I briefed

What we admire about Sunrise is the remarkable flexibility of the people who are always eager to explore new paths and accommodate requests. The level of support by the yard is outstanding. Onboard we used a blend of hard materials, like oak and copper, with soft materials, like felt and leather, to achieve subtle contrasts in a confined colour scheme. The yacht features
