SunSouth Montgomery hosted an AMS Clinic for employees and customers on February 16th. SunSouth employees were the first to go though the introductory training. After the employees, 39 customers were in attendance for the presentation and training. In the following week, SunSouth Montgomery sold 7 receivers to customers that were in attendance and who were not known prospects at the time. A big thanks to Russ Worsley and Tyler Ringler for making this event a success.
Congratulations to Steve Crews for being chosen as our March-April Employee of the Month! Steve is a Salesman at our Samson Location. Steve has been with SunSouth for over 5 years. He has always gone above and beyond his job description, and is always willing to help out wherever he is needed. He is well liked by customers and his fellow employees. Thank you Steve for your continued dedication to SunSouth, and for providing the best service under the sun!

SunSouth is Honored at Annual John Deere Manager’s Club
Mr. Marty Howard and Mr. David Vines were able to accept a prestigious honor on behalf of SunSouth at this years annual John Deere Manager’s Club. SunSouth has become the 4th highest earning John Deere Dealer in the United States and Canada. We want to take this time to thank all of our employees that have made this recognition possible. It is because of all of you that we were able to achieve this status! We would also like to thank all of our customers for helping us to reach this milestone. Without your continued dedication to SunSouth as YOUR John Deere Dealer, this honor would not have been possible. Family Activities Jacob Helms, age 8, son of Melanie Helms, participated in the Cub Scouts pine wood derby race. Jacob is a member of Pack 124 out of Headland. His hand made derby car made it to the 4th round out of 7. Way to go Jacob!!
Terri Starr, Parts Manager at the LaGrange location, would like to announce the engagement of both of her daughters! Renee Howard (top Picture) is engaged to Mark Vining, Service manager at the LaGrange location. Danielle Howard is engaged to Steven Opher. Congratulations to all four of you! Master Parts Level Reached Congratulations to Robert Sauls, Allen Ellis, and Jimmy Ellis, for reaching the level of Master Parts Training through John Deere University. For their hard work, each received a certificate from John Deere, and a leather jacket! Great job guys!!
Family Activities Cont. Whitt O’Neal Shirley, son of Store Manager Drew Shirley and his wife Kodi Shirley, was born on February 16th! He came in to this world weighing in at 8lbs 7oz, and 21in long! Congratulations guys! We are all so happy for you! Tristyn Lee Jones recently participated in the Princess of Hope pageant in Livingston, Alabama. This pageant has raised over $10,000 in the last three years for the local Relay for Life team. Tristyn placed 1st alternate in her division which qualifies her for the Miss Teen Alabama pageant which takes place in Huntsville in June. Tristyn is the daughter of Carla Jones, Admin in Demopolis.
Lori Weathington’s Easy Potato Soup Ingredients:
4- slices bacon 1 ½- cups chopped onion 5- cups diced peeled russet potatoes ½- cup chopped celery 4- cups of chicken broth ½- tsp salt ¼- tsp pepper ½- cup all-purpose flour 1½- cups half-and-half 1-8oz. band of shredded American & Cheddar cheese Directions: In a skillet cook bacon over medium heat, turning occasionally, until browned & crispy. Remove from skillet, reserving fat in skillet. Drain bacon then refrigerate. In same skillet, cook onion in bacon fat over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender. Spray 3½ to 4 quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In cooker, mix onion, potatoes, celery, broth, salt & pepper. Cover, cook on low heat setting 6 to 7 hours. In small bowl, beat flour and half-and-half with wire whisk until well blended; stir into soup. Increase heat setting to high. Cover; cook about 30 minutes longer or until thickened. Stir in cheese until well melted. Crumble bacon sprinkle over soup. Makes about 6 to 8 servings!! Enjoy!!!!
