It is firm, yet flexible, and moulds perfectly to the rider, rewarding them with a state of optimum comfort. Only specific types of leather can be used and great care must be taken to select the very best for Brooks tops. The Swallow is the most elastic of our range of saddles primarily intended for racing use. The current model was designed in 1937, when it was introduced in our annual catalogue as a saddle to assist riders who are anxious to convert every ounce of energy into driving power who will profit by the entire absence of impediment to thigh thrust. The principle feature of the Swallow is the slim cut-away shape of the leather upper, which has a noticeably narrow nose section.

The B17 saddle, intended for the touring and trekking cyclist, has been our best selling model for over a century. First introduced in the 1890s, the B17 has survived virtually unchanged, and has firmly established itself as the saddle of choice for long distance cyclists. The B67 has been our most popular design for urban cycling and light touring for over a century. The reason is simple - cyclists who ride in a mostly upright position need a wider saddle with springs to relieve pressure otherwise absorbed by the flesh and bones. durable, waterproof and maintenance-free upper made from a strong, yet supple, vulcanised natural rubber, to which a layer of textile is bonded. This revolutionary, uniquely flexible top is suspended upon the frame, functioning much like a hammock to comply with the motion of the rider and absorb shocks and vibrations. It is this unique performance characteristic that sets Cambium Saddles apart from the competition. The Cambium Organic is made with vulcanised natural rubber and organic cotton and offers extraordinary comfort. The surface of the Cambium top moves and flows naturally with the movement of the rider for better pedalling and control. The hard-wearing top, die-cast aluminium structure, and tubular steel rails allow the Cambium to stand up to many years of hard use, something which will be appreciated by racers of all disciplines.
