Dual Degree Programs
International students can now earn a SUNY Canton bachelor’s degree without ever leaving their home country. Distance learning has become an integral part of higher education and employee training in today’s business environment. International programs that were inconceivable only a few years ago are possible today because of technology and online platform opportunities. Students only need the internet to participate in SUNY Canton’s international learning experience without the cost and inconvenience of international travel. SUNY Canton offers dual degree programs with the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia, the American University, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Kazan State Finance and Economics Institute, Russia to name a few. The College collaborates with the faculty at the partner university to offer innovative programs via online and video conferencing courses, so students never have to leave their home institution. Upon completion of the eight-semester program, students will receive bachelor’s degrees from both their home university and SUNY Canton. These programs prepare students for successful careers in finance, business, and other disciplines and provide them with a unique international perspective that is highly valued in today’s global workforce.
SUNY Canton Online (OL)
Our online program is one of the most trusted in the SUNY system, serving more than 5,000 students each year. SUNY Canton OL delivers rigorous classes through its quality faculty. The College’s wide range of online degree programs offers international students the opportunity to earn a degree without ever needing to come to SUNY Canton’s campus. Online classes for international students are taught all year long as the College also offers a large selection of accelerated courses during summer and winter sessions. Short-term Summer Programs On Campus Contemporary Global Business Students participating in this three-week certificate program are involved in morning academic lectures that examine global management and economics topics followed by workshops engaging students with case studies and business application. Afternoon and weekend field trips provide a cultural experience and highlight the program.

English as a Second Language (ESL) & Culture The three-week program provides English language learners the opportunity to continue developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Formal instruction occurs in the mornings with field and cultural trips scheduled during afternoons and on weekends. International On-Campus Students What you need to do for admission… Application deadlines: • International Applicants (excluding Canadians) Fall, July 1 — Spring, December 1 • Canadians and Transfer Students from a U.S. University Fall, July 15 — Spring, December 15 Apply at www.canton.edu/international/apply.html. The following must be submitted to begin the admission process:
q SUNY application and $50 (USD) processing fee. q Autobiographical essay. q Official high school transcripts. q Official college and university transcripts from the institution attended.
q If you are not already in the U.S., a photocopy of the photo identification page in your passport.
q Official results of the TOEFL or IELTS sent directly from the testing service. The minimum TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based or 173 IBT or minimum IELTS of 6.0 required.
q Financial documentation showing sufficient funds.
