The safety of our students and faculty is a top priority. Our campus is well lit, patrolled by our own University Police force, and equipped with a blue light system. Each residence hall is secured with electronic front door access systems allowing only residents of that hall to enter. A copy of SUNY Canton’s campus crime statistics as reported annually to the U.S. Department of Education will be provided upon request by the Office of University Police. Please direct all such requests to this office at (315) 3867777. Information can also be obtained from the U.S. Department of Education website: http://ope.ed.gov/ security/index.asp.
Visit Us Discuss your major, career options, and college life. The best way to decide if SUNY Canton is the place for you is to visit the campus. We offer campus tours Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Most people also choose to add an interview with an admissions counselor and a meeting with a financial aid staff member. Schedule a visit by calling 800-388-7123 or 315-386-7123.
Associated Colleges The villages of Canton and Potsdam are home to four colleges. SUNY Canton has joined with Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University, and SUNY Potsdam to create the Associated Colleges of the St. Lawrence Valley. Through this arrangement, our students may enroll in courses offered by another member college with no additional tuition. This program is an added bonus if you plan to continue your education at one of the member colleges, allowing you to get a jump-start on adjusting to a new campus and meeting new friends.
