he Despicable Me film franchise launched back in 2010, and although the first film was good, it was the sequel, released in 2013, that really put the series on the map – mainly because the directors wisely decided to make the hilarious Minions centre stage.

Now, four years later, we have the third Despicable Me film and in this one Gru faces off against Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who has grown up to become obsessed with the character that he played in the 1980s. He also gets into some sibling rivalry when he meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother Dru, who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist to steal the diamond that Bratt has stolen. There are also plenty of Minions scenes too, and they’re as hilarious as ever! Despicable Me 3 is possibly the best family film you’ll see all summer.
