In the last couple of years, Derek has passed the management of the Wells Film Centre over to his daughters Sally, Becky and Libby, who share Derek’s passion for film and will ensure that the Wells Film Centre remains a family business that the whole community can enjoy. According to Firth, his new rival, Patrick Dempsey’s Qwant, is more intimidating than his former opponent, Hugh Grant’s Daniel Cleaver – “Mark didn’t think Daniel was better than him,” he says. “This guy Jack seems to be more of the charming good guy, and in some ways that’s scarier." To be honest, we didn't realise how much we'd missed Bridget until we saw her back on the big screen, and as the film is just as hilarious as the two that came before it, it's a very welcome return.

EVENT CINEMA Here’s a breakdown of all of the brilliant special cinema events coming to the Wells Film Centre in the following months. troupe, he grew up surrounded by music, but witnessed great suffering. It’s a duality he finds utterly compelling, and a juxtaposition that ties in perfectly with the ice-hearted, impossibly beautiful princess at the heart of Turandot.
TURANDOT STARRING Dragana Radakovic CERT 12A RELEASE 15th Sep (7pm) LENGTH 135 minutes This year, Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour presents a story of a death-marked love told with salt in the air, light on the sails and the city skyline as a backdrop. It’s the best of Sydney in a single evening: singing, sunsets and sparkling wine, in perfect harmony. Puccini’s Turandot is one of the greatest operas ever written: brilliant melodies for music lovers, a gripping story for those that need action and drama, an exotic setting and plenty of movement for lovers of stagecraft and visual splendour. Not forgetting an incredible version of Nessun Dorma sung by Riccardo Massi. Chinese director Chen Shi-Zheng’s epic take on this Chinese fable, about the ice-cold princess and the suitor determined to win her, will be one for the history books. As a child of the Cultural Revolution, Chen Shi-Zheng grew up in a China where cruelty and beauty coexisted. Taken in by a Chinese opera

London scrubs up for the coronation. The thieves are on the make, the whores on the pull, and Mr and Mrs Peachum are looking forward to a bumper day in the beggary business, but their daughter didn’t come home last night and it’s all about to kick off… This bold, anarchic production is brought to you by a creative powerhouse – adapted by Simon Stephens, (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), and directed by Rufus Norris, (Everyman, London Road).

EXERCISE FOR DAILY LIVING

F
or many people exercise is just a means of staying fit and healthy enough to continue doing the things that they love. Sometimes aches and pains get in the way and put you off. A lot of the time lower back pain is the culprit, especially if your hobbies or housework involve bending over and working at a low level – for example: gardening, golfing, or even cycling There are ways that you can improve your symptoms and get back to what you enjoy, but where should you start? I recommend you work on improving your core strength to support your lower back and fix your lifting technique for good.
Lifting Technique To reduce strain on your lower back, bend your knees with your chest out and head up, and lift with your legs. Here are two ways you can improve your core strength by working the deep abdominal muscles in the comfort of your own home.
The 100 Engage your core, lift legs and shoulders off the ground and pulsate your arms, breathing in for 5 and out for 5, counting to 100. To increase the difficulty, straighten your legs and lower yourself towards the ground. If

How can you help your spine work efficiently? Good posture Good movement patterns Reduce strain Decompression 3D Breathing Hydration Think about how your spine feels. We can teach you the above six points.
Zoisa’s goals are to create, inspire, support and share her knowledge, experience and wisdom to inform, educate and provide hope.
How is it constructed? 5 sections - 7 cervical vertebrae, 12 thoracic vertebrae, 5 lumbar vertebrae, sacrum (5 fused sacral vertebrae) and tailbone (4 fused coccygeal vertebrae). The different sizes and shapes of the vertebrae help to limit movement in areas of the spine to protect organs and the spinal cord, and allow you to move safely and effectively. The lower vertebrae are larger and more stable to carry more weight, whereas the upper vertebrae are small and more mobile. The discs between vertebrae are composed of two parts, an outer of collagen fibres and an inner of fibres in a mucoprotein gel. They act as shock absorbers.
