Ormston House is a meeting place for the arts in the heart of Limerick City. We opened in 2011 as a Cultural Resource Centre to create new opportunities for artists and arts workers. Our core question is: How can we support artists better? We welcome audiences seeking intimate arts experiences and progressive projects. The three pillars of our programme are artistic ambition, community engagement, and professional development.

For Supermarket 2021, we will present ‘People who (…) have no dreams’ by Ciara Barker, one of our long-term Artists-in-Residence. This work was commissioned on the occasion of the ‘Feminist Supermarket’ at Ormston House. Ciara’s work explores the illusory nature of self-image and the fallibility of socially-constructed divides.
