This game consists in keeping in the air a tennis ball using wooden paddles to hit it. It can be played by 2-3-4 or 5 players at the same time. This is the most interesting characteristic in this game. It used to be played in the beach, and it is very popular in Santander. It is a COOPERATIVE GAME: the players play together to keep the rally.
It is not a competitive game Nobody win or lose It is fun! The only rule is “don´t let the ball fall down” There are two roles in that game: › There is an “STOPPER” (parador): who plays close
to a wall and who has to stop the ball and return it in a good position to be hit again. › There is a “HITTER” (pegador): opposite to the “stopper” who has to hit the ball.
