D u f f e r St G e o r g e Duffer St George started in 1984 as a stall in Camden selling vintage clothing and dead stock from Army and Navy surplus stores. After a successful stint in reproductions, designs inspired by their stock began to be sold in the West End. Now, over 25 years on JD Sports has presented the high street with a collection of Duffer classics, allowing the label to continue going from strength to strength. The ever expanding brand now supplies everything from polos, shoes and of course, more variations of the ever classic Duffer.

Nudie Jeans The human-rights focused brand was founded in 2001 and were made partners with Amnesty International in the very same year. Their focus on human rights means that they work exclusively with the best denim suppliers in the world who share their philosophy of quality and equality. Their focus on human rights hasn’t blinkered Nudie Jeans to their environmental responsibility and are dedicated to increasing their organic cotton

collection and making it a long lasting part of their brand, as opposed to a fashion fad. Believers that true denim lovers will discover the brand of their own accord, Nudie Jeans also has an organic approach to marketing “word of mouth is worth far more than screaming from the scenes”. With their patrons wearing their designs as a “second skin” even more are sure to follow.

Pe t e r J e n s e n Based in London but originally hailing from Denmark, Jensen launched his label after graduating from Central St Martins. On the “wearable side of unconventional” and influenced by Jensen’s skills in embroidery, tailoring and graphic design his collections proved both original and covetable. They were soon stocked everywhere from Opening Ceremony to Dover St Market. Womenswear, diffusion lines and capsule ranges followed, as well as a collaboration with American artist Laurie Simmons which lead to Jensen being the first fashion designer to win the £100,000 prize from the Danish Arts Council. Each design in every collection is a stand-alone piece, owing to meticulous tailoring and originality. Jensen certainly succeeds in being timeless yet modern.
