This year for the very first time we introduce carbon, and our split boards line. In 2006 Nobile introduced the word's first snowkiting dedicated board. It was the first to be 100% engineered and developed to offer best performance on snow, with and without a kite. For this season we decided to broaden this category and offer the most comprehensive line of products to be used with a kite on snow. Now in our winter line you will also find a race snowkite and snowkiting dedicated skis. We really hope that for the next ten years kiteboarding as a sport will continue to prosper as it has for the last ten, and that more and more people experience the joy, freedom and fun that it gives. Nobile History by Dariusz Rosiak: „In 1995 I decided to follow my passion, and so I sold the sparkling wine factory I owned. I took a risk and opened the original snowboard factory. Back then we were manufacturing snowboards and skis for the biggest players in the industry, as well as for smaller and more core brands. In 2001, to extend my time on boards, I started kiteboarding. Back then I was using the standard directional foam-cored boards, which were very heavy and super stiff. They were basically small windsurfing boards, totally different from anything we use nowadays for kiting. Owning the snowboard factory as well as being a keen snowboarder pushed me to the idea of developing a kiteboard that would work like a snowboard in terms of flex and comfort. In 2003 I build the first prototype of the kiteboard to utilize the snowboard technology. The first prototypes were made in snowboard moulds and featured a snowboard shape. As I was not yet ready to launch my own kite brand, I presented the idea to Boards&More and to other companies. In 2004 the world's very first mass production kiteboards made in the snowboard tech appeared on the market. The revolution began, and soon no one wanted to use the old types of kiteboards. I can honestly say, my invention began the era of modern kiteboarding. I was constantly improving the kiteboard construction, and developing my own solutions and improvements. From the very beginning, the idea behind all Nobile innovations was called The Human Concept Philosophy. This essentially means that the Human comes first: performance and safety are the key issues for us. I believe that safety on the water and the joy of kitesurfing are the most important things, that's why most of our innovations we've left open, so they have already become industry-wide standards. Constant research on the best flex and torsion led us to invent the 3D Multichannel construction introduced in the first NHP and 50Fifty kiteboards. In 2011 we set the bar even higher and introduced the Pre-Stress technology – the evolution of 3D construction – which not only offers magnificent flex management, improved comfort on landings, explosive pop, better response and superior edge grip, but also allows us to build thinner and lighter boards that are even more durable. Nobile was also the inventor of the modern bindings system. Developed in cooperation with Czech company Santi Products, and introduced in 2007, the Integrated Footbed System significantly increased comfort and functionality for the rider. IFS allowed us to eliminate the major source of discomfort in riding – the twist at the fixing point, whilst offering the maximum adjustment ability. Innovation at Nobile never stops. And now, by introducing our carbon and split board series, we are beginning a new era of kitesurfing. Never before has equipment been so rider-focused and travel friendly.“
NOBILE 10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY 1995 – Dariusz Rosiak sells sparkling wine factory and, fuelled by his passion for boardsports, opens Nobile Snowboard Factory in Bielsko Biala, Poland. Nobile produces snowboards under its own brand as well as OEM. 1997 – Nobile is the very first and only polish exhibitor at ISPO Munich fair 2002 - Dariusz Rosiak, consumed by the kitesurfing virus, comes up with the idea to change it all and develops the first wood-cored, sandwich construction kiteboard to be produced in the same way as snowboards. The first kiteboards produced in snowboard technology are manufactured for Nobile client Boards&More and the kite board revolution starts... 2004 – The first Nobile branded kiteboards are produced. There is only one model available in 3 sizes. The astonishing quality and outstanding performance of Nobile kiteboards (built around the Human Concept philosophy) results in enthusiastic reactions from testers and from the first Nobile distributors. The Nobile factory takes on production of kiteboards for Naish. 2005 – Nobile presents a complete board collection to the market. The line consist of 2 models: the 666 and the 555. Innovative construction featuring technologies developed by Nobile, such as Elliptical Progressive Concave (EPS), 3D Construction and Hydrodynamic Rocker Line, combined with extraordinary quality, quickly makes Nobile one of the world's top kiteboard brands. Mark Shinn, the only rider to win the KPWT and PKRA world riders in one year, signs up with Nobile and becomes Brand Manager. 2006 – Nobile introduces the world's first 100% snowkiting dedicated board. Unlike others, Nobile Snowkite is not just a regular snowboard, but the very first kiteboard dedicated to use with a kite. The board features Nobile's patented Snake Transition technology and advanced flex management system. 2007 – Nobile introduces its first line of kites (the 555 and NHP). The in-house designed control bar and the world's first full moulded fulcrum.
2008 – Mike Blomvall, top KPWT and PKRA rider, joins Nobile and helps to design the 50Fifty, one of the best selling wakestyle/newschool kiteboards on the market. 2009 – Asia Litwin wins the PKRA World Cup Event in Germany and becomes Vice World Champion. Nobile NHP WMN becomes her signature kiteboard. 2010 – Nobile introduces Pre Stress technology as the evolution of the 3D Construction. The 2HD, a freeride focused kiteboard with unique Hydrodynamic bottom construction is born. The board line is also extended with the Flying Carpet – a super-sized lightwind kiteboard. All accessories come in highly visibly rescue-orange colour, for easier location of the gear on water. Nobile 50Fifty is chosen as the “Best Twin Tip” in IKSurf Magazine’s Riders’ Awards. Remi Muem becomes Snowkite World Champion. 2011 – Kitesurfing legend and pioneer Jose Luengo joins Nobile International Team. The Infinity, a super durable and light wave board featuring tip-to-tail 100% wood core is introduced to the market. Asia Litwin becomes KTE European Champion (freestyle). 2012 – Eudazio Da Silva and Carlos Madson from Brazil join Nobile and impress the judges in their very first PKRA competition. 2013 – Nobile introduces split and carbon line premium kiteboards.
