After another difficult few months for all due to lockdown limbo, it’s with great pleasure that I welcome you back to Surya Hotels and our second issue of Escape magazine.
The winter was a challenging and eventful period across the Surya Hotels estate and the UK. With further restrictions and lockdowns due to the pandemic, we have faced difficult trading conditions, as have most hospitality and leisure businesses.
However, as the green shoots of spring appeared, we’ve been delighted to welcome back guests to our hotels that offer great outdoor space. For instance, our seaside Kingscliff Hotel taking in views over the Essex coastline, Dragonfly Hotel in Peterborough – perfectly placed on the banks of a rowing lake – and The Mill Hotel situated on the water meadows of Sudbury, Suffolk.
