We are and have always been a home of books. Books enable learning, curiosity, imagination, possibility, and can even break a cycle of poverty. At garage sales and flea markets, we comb through boxes of books in search of treasure. Back home in NYC, we spend hours at Strand Books lost in their 18 miles of used books. Or visiting the library. But much of the time we buy books, it's on Better World Books an organization that collects books of all kinds, sells them and donates the money raised to fund literacy all over the world. In addition to saving books from becoming part of land fill, Better World Books donates a book to someone who needs one each time we buy a book. So bring books! As many as you can gather. Or make a donation, big or small to fund reading and literacy for all!
