ied at Lancing on 5 April 2021. He was an accomplished Sussex wicketkeeper in the 1960s, representing the county in 41 firstclass matches between 1961-67, and often playing when Jim Parks was on England Test duty. Terry was born in Barnsley on 27 September 1935 and played for Yorkshire II in 1959 before moving south. He made his debut for Sussex II in 1960 and still played for the second XI after his first team career had ended. He represented Sussex Cricket League in 1974 and the Sussex Cricket Association in 1975 as well as being a valued member of the Hove Montefiore club. As a tail-end batsman his highest score for Sussex was 19* v Worcestershire at Hove in 1965 and his qualities as a fine wicketkeeper were recognised by the award of his county cap in 1965. His tally of 109 catches and five stumpings in a short career also illustrate his ability. In recent years Terry was a welcome visitor to matches at Hove.
