New Home Manager for popular Storrington care home

Sussexdown, a welcoming care home on the outskirts of Storrington, has welcomed Lynne Hudson as it’s new Home Manager.

Lynne has worked in the health sector for over 46 years and successfully managed care homes for the past 22 years, ensuring they are not only rated good by CQC but exceed resident and family expectations. She is passionate about delivering high standards of care and maintaining dignity – she loves to make a difference, particularly when someone is in the later part of their life.

Set in beautiful gardens with extensive views over the South Downs, Sussexdown offers all types of residential care including, dementia, nursing and respite care in homefrom-home surroundings.

During warmer weather, the home’s gardens are a big draw for residents. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for relaxing, socialising and spending time with family, friends and loved ones.

Residents at Sussexdown have led rich and fulfilling lives and we want to keep it that way – so there’s plenty of Fun, Food and Friendship on offer.

There is a rich and varied activities programme, which residents can take part in as much or as little as they wish, and the home has its own on-site hairdressing salon.

Sussexdown is owned by Care South, a not-for-profit charity. The home provides care for all levels of need, including those living with dementia. We have the support in place to help residents living with complex care or medical needs with around the clock nursing care.

A short-stay respite care break can offer the chance to enjoy a change of scenery, meet new people and try some new activities while gently being introduced to care on a more permanent basis if needed.
