Our dance club took part in the Rother Valley Arts Festival at the end of last term on the stage at MRC. They performed two dances to 'Never gonna not dance again' by Pink and 'Pretty on the inside' by Chloe Adams, both choreographed by Katie Stevens. They really did us proud with a very polished performance which they clearly enjoyed sharing with an appreciative audience. Twelve local schools took part sharing dance, choral and instrumental performances.

Sticking with the arts – our Year 5 children (all 58 of them!) took part in the Rother Valley All Sing, again at MRC. Mrs Stevens led the morning in which our children joined forces to become a 150 strong choir learning part songs, trying their hand at some beatboxing and singing a round song

Rabbits and Badgers had a very busy second half term, polishing off their lines and acting skills ready to share their end of term production Rock Bottom. The children rose to the occasion and really enjoyed performing to an adult audience because ‘they got the jokes’ and this musical really did pack in the puns.

Our Foxes and Otters class both been working on optical illusions – Foxes using paper and Otters using photography, which required them to think carefully about the perspective of each shot to create their finished pieces – both classes had great fun and produced some excellent work.
