The aim of V-Bite is to keep you up to date with volunteering opportunities (new ones come in every week) and to let you know about anything else related to volunteering that we think you may wish to know about.
NEWLY REGISTERED VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES You can use the ‘Opportunity Search’ facility on our website to get more information about each volunteering opportunity, but to give you an idea of some of the new roles registered this week, they include: 1) Volunteer Centre Senior Marketing Volunteer with Volunteer Centre Brighton and Hove – The Volunteer Centre has a central role to play in the marketing and promotion of volunteering across the City. The role of Senior Marketing Volunteer is to support the Centre in this work through recruiting, supporting, co-ordinating and providing hands-on help to a small team of volunteers carrying out marketing activities on behalf of the Centre (ID ref 648) 2) Embrace Project Research Volunteer with B&H Federation of Disabled People - This project works to promote social inclusion of disabled people in Sussex by facilitating their involvement and participation in the planning and decision making structure of their communities. The Embrace Project is newly funded piece of work which has the overall aim of putting people and local services together. Your role will involve finding out and mapping what day care services and activities are available in local neighbourhood areas across the city. (ID Ref 647) 3) MOOT Fringe Festival 2012 Event Co-ordinator with MOOT - a new music performance and education organisation aimed at providing opportunities for Brighton and Hove residents to get to know, appreciate and enjoy contemporary music while providing a platform for local talented artist and musicians.
