MONTH

CHUCKANUT BREWERY & KITCHEN September is our favorite month in Northwest Washington. It’s the height of the harvest season and prime time to shine a light on all the good folks who grow, raise, create and skillfully prepare the delicious food we eat; and celebrate! To us, local means food that is grown, raised, or produced in Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan, and Island Counties. When you buy local food at a grocery store, the farmers market, or choose a restaurant that supports local farmers, you should feel good! Not only will you taste the fresh difference, you are eating in support of families, our community and lots of hard work done behind the scenes to get our food from seed to plate. Here’s to creating strong community with every bite! Join in the fun with us this September with not-to-miss events, culinary adventures, tours, our Eat Local Month passport (win the best prizes!), and the ever popular Whatcom County Farm Tour -- a chance to explore, meet your farmer and taste the freshest flavors around.
