BIM PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE August 2017 - July 2018

SYSTRA MVA Consulting India Private Limited, Faridabad ARCHITECTURE AND PLANNING Graduate BIM ARCHITECT MYHSR ISKANDAR PUTERI STATION (KUALA LUMPUR – SINGAPORE HIGH SPEED RAIL PROJECT) – ARCHITECTURE DESIGN + BIM

STATION ISKANDAR PUTERI

Creating unique sense of arrival that explores Malaysian identity rich culture and trades to celebrate its diversity.

Coordinated and worked with the senior management as a BIM architect, within a team of six members for the international design project based solely on Revit. My contribution comprised of - Conceptualising proposals and detailed project report. - Developing preliminary design as per station design criteria, international bye-laws, codes and fire safety practices. - Coordinating between in-house departments (design, structure, MEP) and troubleshooting possible design and construction interferences.

INTRODUCTION Iskandar Puteri Station is located in Gerbang Nusajaya, Johor Baru, Malaysia. This is a key station (in Malaysia) just before the cross-border connection and consist of Customs, Immigration & Quarantine (CIQ) facilities of both Malaysia & Singapore. The geometry of this at-grade station is inspired by hands curvature with railway tracks symbolizing fingers. The space planning is done to meet Dr. Fruin’s Level of Service B i.e. 1 sqm per person to ensure swift and seamless travel experience. The building is designed to aim GBI gold certificate and is designed in accordance to NFPA & UBBL, Malaysia.

STATION ISKANDAR PUTERI

STATION PLANNING The site topography varies considerably from approx. +20m to +50m . As per alignment design, the rail level at site is +34m. The track divides the station in two parts international side & domestic side. The arrival area is common for both the passengers as CIQ is done only once. The KL-SG HSR Project is a dedicated high-speed passenger line, connecting Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, allowing point to point and express journeys. The length of KL--SG HSR alignment is approximately 350 kilometers long. The Journey time from point to point is 90 mins with rain running at speed of 350 km/hour. MyHSR is the implementing authority from Malaysia side.

SUYASHI SRIVASTAVA ar.suyashi@gmail.com

On International side, CIQ & security are placed at same level to reduce the travel time. Waiting lounges are located one level above the platform and is connected through vertical elements. On domestic side, the entry is at the same level at arrival hall. Paid unpaid area is controlled by AFC gates. Arriving passengers are taken one level above to retail floor from where they exit. This level is the connection between the east and west side of the station and also provide future link to MTH proposed on north side. Parking & Services are provided at the lower level below the rail level. Taking advantage of contours, parking areas are naturally ventilated.
