Your Mindful Approach to Focus Blueprint: 7 Steps to Getting the Right Things Done
Focus Blueprint How a Mindful Approach Can Focus You on Your Heart’s Desire Being aware of your greatness - what you love to do and what your unique gifts are - is the best way to boost your productivity, be more effective and get the things done that matter most to you. By taking a mindful approach you can put in place a practical and easy-to-implement system that will keep you focused on your heart’s desire. People in your world need what you have to offer. You’re here to make a difference. When you focus on your heart’s desire and the things that matter most to you, you will change the lives of others because your happiness, energy and joy will attract them to you as if you were the sun and them the branches of a young tree. But when you try to get it ALL done, you end up tired, distracted, and afraid to take the next step. You end up working hard but end up feeling unfulfilled. And the things you really want to do and those you want to do them with, stay away. My name is Suzanne Beveridge. Some years ago I left my brilliant corporate career and ever since I’ve been coaching and helping people succeed in work they are meant to do. I’ve worked with business professional women (and some men), mid-lifers who have decided NOW is the time to shed the layers that have held them back. They are ready to trust their intuition and tread the path to their best lives by making a difference in our world. What I do is connect them to their heart’s desire and support them to take action on what matters most to them. What that really means is I get them to FOCUS. If you feel like unrelenting demands, distractions, procrastinations and no direction are leaving you tired, worn out, frenzied and worried, keeping you from who you really want to be, the mindful approach I am sharing with you will help you choose what you do and how you do it in each ‘here and now‘ moment.

Your Mindful Approach to Focus Blueprint: 7 Steps to Getting the Right Things Done
Why Take a Mindful Approach? Question for you: Why would you choose to try to give up so much of your time trying to get it all done? I’ve got to tell you, it’s a lot more fun and fulfilling when you take control of your time to get the right things done. When that happens:
You are more effective You are more productive You maximize your potential You are seen as genuine, true to your values and principles You attract requests that match your gifts and what matters to you You do the stuff that brings you the most joy and fulfillment.
To me, the heart and soul of taking a MINDFUL APPROACH to how you FOCUS is that you get to CHOOSE how you will respond in each moment because you are CLEAR about your purpose and the unique gifts you have to SERVE that purpose. In each moment. And when you show up on purpose, you become an agent of change. You are an agent of change For you to make the difference you are here to make, you deserve to make a living by doing what you love. Taking a mindful approach to focus is a profound transformation that goes beyond your work. You will have the power to shift your approach to relationships, money, health - anything that matters most to you. You will show up with more energy and power, as someone creating major change in the world. And you won’t be afraid to say YES to what gets you out there to share your gifts and nor will you be afraid to say NO to distractions, procrastination and no direction.

Your Mindful Approach to Focus Blueprint: 7 Steps to Getting the Right Things Done
The Power of Focus When you CHOOSE to focus with a mindful approach, you build a reputation as someone who is true to their word, their values and principles. When you focus, your business partners, clients and colleagues will no longer doubt that you can deliver. Instead, you will be asking: “How will what I am doing right now allow me to use my unique gifts in service for the purpose I am meant to fulfill?” Be the change you want in the world. Put out the energy that you want to get back. When you do that, those you attract will join the transformation.
Let’s Get Started So now let’s look at a Mindful Approach to Focus in more detail. I am going to show you what a mindful approach looks like and how it can support you to live a life on purpose. The Mindful Approach to Focus Blueprint guides you to implement a clear and simple plan for getting the right things done.
3 Essentials of the Mindful Approach First, a definition of mindfulness. There are many versions. I like this one from Ed Halliwell, mindfulness teacher and writer. “the awareness and approach to life that arises from paying attention on purpose, fully present, with curiosity and compassion” Now, I invite you to forgive yourself and others for any past lack of focus and to consider with curiosity the 3 essentials of the mindful approach. The word mindfulness comes from the sanskrit word ‘sati’. Sati stands for three things:
1. Awareness
You intentionally become aware of the thoughts, feelings and actions that are present in each moment. Without judging them as right or wrong, you accept that they are simply there. Often referred to as neutral observing.

2. Attention to purpose
Mindfulness is not only neutral observing, or what Halliwell calls ‘neutral noticing’. It’s also about paying attention to how our unique gifts can be used in the present moment to fulfill our purpose in the situation we find ourselves in.
3. Remembering
When you remember something, you most likely call up a memory of something in the past. The mindful definition of remembering is more about recollection i.e. remembering to be aware of something at a designated time in the future. It brings about a state of nonforgetfulness and absence of confusion.
Now that you’ve seen the three essentials of the mindful approach, you can probably see already how it applies to focus and getting the right things done - the things that matter most. The mindful approach is a way to be fully present in each moment with awareness, attention to your purpose in the moment, and remembering what you want to focus on to achieve your purpose.
Your Mindful Approach to Focus Blueprint In my coaching partnerships, I guide those I work with to shift their awareness to a higher level of consciousness. A place - or better, a state - where they live more in the present moment than in the past or in the future, where they examine and become aware of the thoughts that drive their emotions that drive their actions. They learn that they have the power to choose how they respond rather than react to what is going on around them. That’s how they stay connected to their purpose and achieve extraordinary things. I help them pay attention to their purpose in the process of the present so that they stay focused on their longer-term desired outcomes. They get the right things done that matter. And now I’ve written up my process to share with you. The Mindful Approach to Focus Blueprint is a clear and simple plan for getting the right things done. Seven easy steps that you can take in just minutes every day to get done what matters.
What’s next... What I want for you is to succeed in work that you are meant to do. I want you to be inspired to give up trying to do it all by doing what matters.
