March 17, 2016, Fine Arts Work Center, Provincetown, MA Dear everyone, The Goddess Oracle deck has asked us to ground our worries by writing them down on stones. We thought this might be an opportunity to work with everyone on a project about dreaming and telepathy, inspired by Susan Hiller’s Dream Mapping. Participants would be given a worry stone, and asked to record their dreams in the morning. Everyone would do this on the same night. If you’d like to be a part of the dreaming project, let us know by Monday (March 21st), and further directions will be placed in your mailbox (or delivered in person, if you don’t have a mailbox). - Suzy and Anushka
March 21st, 2016 Hey everyone, We’re happy to see that you’re all interested in the synchronized dreaming experiment! We’ve placed stones, instructions, and mylar in your mailboxes. We’ll also be passing around a dream diary that everyone can read and add to. When you have the diary, please send the group an email to see who wants it next. On a future date, we’ll take the stones somewhere watery, and throw them into the ocean. The idea is to drown our worries with conviction, and (as the Oracle deck says): What you are doing will have practical results. Know that you have left your worries behind you. -Suzy and Anushka
March 27, 2016 Hey everyone, This is your reminder that we will all dream together TONIGHT. Please follow the instructions we left in your mailbox with the stone. You can hang on to your stone, spend time recording your dreams on mylar, and await further instructions about the final ceremony/performance. We will send you a Google spreadsheet where you can sign up to receive and write in the dream diary. Here’s the schedule: By April 4th - Return mylar to Anushka’s mailbox April 10th - Stone Throwing Ceremony during day P.S. - Pick up your stone if you haven’t! See you in dream land, Anushka and Suzy
April 7, 2016 Hey everyone, On Sunday, April 10th, we will meet in the parking lot at 3.00 PM and walk to the pier together. Remember to bring your worry stone!!! When we get to the pier, we will: 1- Walk in a straight line. 2- Recite the word six times. Say goodbye to your stone, and your worries. 3- Throw your stone into the water with conviction. 4- Turn around and walk away. Afterwards, we will meet in the lounge to discuss a possible dream zine. P.S. We’re thinking of displaying the mylar, and possibly the dream diary at open studio. If anyone wants their dream or diary entry to remain private, let us know by tomorrow! See you soon! Suzy and Anushka
