enice’s deserted lanes before sunset. A town romantically suspended between water and sky. The silence which precedes the night. A man ignites one by one the lanterns’ candles which slowly start to enlighten the atmosphere.

he light reflects weakly from the placid surface of Venice’s canals. A town getting dressed with a new soul, floating between feeble light and dark shadows, a portrait among the most suggestive and touching in the world: Venice by night.

his vision inspired Simonetta Gomiero to create one of the leading collections for 2011: Chiaroscuro in Venice. As a revision of the typical Venetian lantern, this chandelier recalls a taste of the past: the suffused light of a welcoming foyer, coloured by the vivacity of enamel butterflies and the spring explosion of hand-decorated Murano Glass Flowers.

new design based on the concept of agglomeration: lanterns hanging in mid-air at different heights to create dynamism, lanterns lined up to lend majesty, lanterns in monochromatic tones or in bright colours. Simple, almost humble in their design, but rich in details, fancy, always original. A quest. A quest for Beauty. A quest beyond imagination. Ever.

fter the great success of the butterflies proposed in Murano Glass in the 2008 Collection and in enamel in 2010, another three new stunning models complete the Collection of the “Symbols of Freedom�.
I
nspired by Nature, the bright colours of tropical forests, the multicoloured ocean-depths, by uncontaminated and wild pictures of a pure world, the collection is divided in different lines.
Air :
intangible in its lightness, to remind the flight of butterflies weightlessly hovering in limpid skies.
Water : marvellous hand-decorated Murano Glass fishes in golden
tones, to reflect the freedom of the sea, a scintillating mirror that van- ishes at sunset in its vastness.

Earth : a portrait of a wild jungle, tropical, spotted by colours, enamel parrots and Murano Glass boules in multicolour versions for this chandelier, an explosion of vivacity.
Fire :
a re-interpretation of one of Pataviumart’s classic pendants, the pinecone in Murano Glass turns into snow-white striped transparent glass. A stylized cold flame, pure, essential in its shape but highly deco rative in the ambience. our lines, four styles, four sacred elements of Nature. nfluenced by the mutual fusion between Fashion and Jewellery, Simonetta Gomiero’s design for Pataviumart continues to astonish.
his new line is enriched with precious cameo set in hand-made brass frames. The cameo, an antique jewel, has been used since the Age of the Hellenic Greece. Its use was very extensive during the Renaissance period, when myths, legends and portraits were often incised on gems, creating consequently sculptural masterpieces in miniature.

he cameos on Pataviumart’s chandeliers are engraved on pure corniola, semi-precious red stone, a symbol of Life. The presence of the vermilion coral produced in Naples further enhance the vividness and aristocratic touch on the chandeliers.

ompletely customizable, this collection re-interprets in a contemporary way the typical stylization of that period: an expressive freedom sought through simple design and defined profiles.

he structure can be extended, lengthened, enlarged, the colours of the accessories can be separated, crossed, aligned. The squared corners of the structure get softened thanks to the roundness of the Murano Glass spheres, or thanks to the curve wings of the colourful enamels. The style is therefore synthetic, volumetric and dynamic at the same time.
