Even with your advanced class standing, we will give you freshmen benefits. This means sooner orientation and course registration times. Most students are also eligible to transfer up to 62 credit hours from a regionally accredited community college. Students are classified in the following levels based on the number of credit hours earned: Freshmen are students with 0-30 credits. Sophomores are students with 31-61 credits. Juniors are students with 62-92 credits. Seniors are students with 93 or more credits.

Room to live. All freshmen live in either suite-style or apartment style housing, which means plenty of personal space and no awkward sharing of hall bathrooms. At SVSU, dorms are spacious to help you and your friends enjoy life beyond main campus and the classroom. To guarantee your housing spot, submit your housing contract and prepayment by May 1.
