A PATHWAY TO MEDICAL SCHOOL WITH EARLY ASSURANCE SVSU has Early Assurance Program partnerships with medical schools at Central Michigan University, Michigan State University and Wayne State University. These partnerships allow SVSU students to apply to medical schools the summer before their senior year at SVSU. Through this program, these medical schools reserve seats for SVSU students each year!

A DEDICATED ADVISOR

Heidi Lang Pre-Health Professions Advisor Heidi Lang is a former president of the Central Association of Advisors for the Health Profession. Her experience often helps her make connections nationwide for her students. Her approach to mentoring includes giving both academic and non-academic guidance to help students find success. The academic guidance involves talking about class schedules and course requirements. The other advice includes having big-picture conversations on deciding which medical field to pursue. To help prepare students, she coordinates mock interviews between students and a panel of SVSU staff and faculty that simulate medical school interviews!
