STEM
STEM students apply science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concepts using 21st century skills and inquiry-based design thinking models to create innovative solutions to authentic problems. CU TEAMS: CU has partnered with St. Vrain Schools to allow students opportunities to see engineering as an attainable career. CU graduate engineering students travel to Indian Peaks each week to lead engaging, interactive activities that connect with math and science concepts. Each engineering activity is based on a real-world context.

MENTORING
Indian Peaks offers several programs that mentor one-to-one relationships with teachers and students. The R.E.A.L (Relationships with Educators Accelerate Learning) Program involves the personalized mentorship of at-risk students who can benefit by building academic, personal/social and post-secondary success. To maximize success, family involvement is also a key support and factor. Kids Hope is a partnership program where trained adults become encouraging positive role models for children to help them learn. Reading League is a mentorship that supports children (K-3) in literacy.
