Question:
“HOW MIGHT TABLET TECHNOLOGIES IMPROVE CHILDREN’S LEARNING?”
Contextual – WHY?
• We are in the middle of a multimedia learning revolution • The way the children learn has change for ever with the advent of these technologies into the education system • Many teachers are scared of these technologies, don’t properly understand their benefits • Its not just fun and games it’s a learning tool • Instant engagement from the child. • The kids get it…
Methodologies:
• There was such a great depth of literature on this topic that I have spent much of my time disseminating this information. • In the future studies it would be interesting to conducted observations of children using the installations, to gather data.

A mobile media revolution Changes the education styles forever Increased attention span for better learning Special needs children benefit Autonomy for learning Increases peer relationships Limitless opportunities for learning Accessibility of information is instant My own children have benefited greatly from the use of these technologies in their current schooling
CONCLUSION:
• The installation out come allows for student to work together in groups on projects which helps the following: • Develop stronger communication skills. • Tackle more complex problems than they could on their own. • Develop their own voice and perspectives in relation to peers. • Students are encouraged to become active rather than passive learners by developing collaborative and co-operative skills, and lifelong learning skills. • Students develop and practice skills in: decision making, problem solving, communication, critical thinking, negotiation, conflict resolution, and teamwork. • It makes the task challenging, interesting, motivating, engaging, and fun (for everyone)!
QUOTE: Edgar Morin (French philosopher)
“ A form of teaching that considers the world in its inclusiveness that situates students in a climate of autonomy and interaction so that they can construct relationships between knowledge, between the school and the world, with responsibility for their own learning
