THE KINGS ARMS The Kings Arms was built in 1936 in a traditional 1930s design. It is situated in large landscaped gardens reflecting the local English countryside. The pub originally opened with the objective of providing a range of amenities for the local community including luncheons and teas together with fine ales and refreshments in pleasant comfortable surroundings. Although the pub may have seen many changes over the years we still offer the same comfort and value for money in our current food and drink offers. Our 2 meals at a set price include classics like hand battered fish and chips, rump steak and chips with all the trimmings and New York style chicken. With Sunday roasts all day every Sunday including a ‘go large’ option and midweek grill and curry nights priced to include a drink, our menu offers all your pub favourites and more. You will also find great deals on lagers, spirits and soft drinks. We offer a high standard of customer service and with 7 TV screens we are also very popular for sporting events. So, whether football, cricket or rugby is your passion, you'll find it all at The Kings Arms. We now boasts a fantastic new pizza oven, it’s now easy to grab a slice of the action whilst saving dough, perfect if you’re looking to feed a hungry group! Available to eat in or take-away, every pizza comes with its own performance, as we cook them right in front of you in our lively open kitchen. Join us for a meal at your local John Barras pub and you’ll be greeted with a warm atmosphere, friendly service and an exciting menu packed full of all your pub favourites. So next time you are in Billingham, and looking for great value food and drink every day of the week, we look forward to seeing you

The weather has taken it’s toll over December and January with only a few games managing to be played and the vast majority of them away. This weeks games are also looking doubtful but the call will be made with keeping the pitches in best condition, this will pay dividends at the back end of the season. 2010 / 2011
The Intermediates founded when former U18 manager and BTJFC Secretary Peter Cooper and John Swanson came together to put together an adult team for the junior section. Both agreed that the Teesside league would be a good challenge and both had the same vision, to have a team where the players from the junior section could stay with the club once they had finished their junior football. The first season proved difficult on many levels; 42 players coming and going, organising a strip and pitches and most significantly the devastating death of Peter in October 2010. Ian Murray then the U18 manager joined the management team. A difficult season saw only 1 win in29 games... but the basis of a squad to go into the next season, and true to the philosophy that Peter had held, the majority had been former Junior players. 2011 / 2012 With a core of lads from the previous season and some of Ian's former U18 lads, the season looked to be full of promise, however the step up for the new lads and trying to gel the squads together saw the season start off where it finished the previous season, winless, however the results were encouraging. Once the team had it's first win under it's belt it went on an unbeaten run of 8 games. With the odd win/draw towards the end of the season...the results did not reflect the performances. The team had now started to develop a style of it's own, playing some attractive football, the highlight of the season had to be away to Northallerton Academy 2-0 down at half time, Town outplayed Northallerton to win 3-2 playing some great football, showing great character and both starting and finishing with 10 former Junior players... the foundation well and truly in place. Thanks to the hard work of Ian The team got new strips through a sponsorship agreement with RA DALTON. whose support is still much appreciated.
2012 / 2013
A more settled squad started the season playing a good style of football however a string of long term injuries to key players disrupted the season. Again the squad struggled for points and goals but the last 9 games of the season saw a more settled team start to play the football it promised early on. The highlight being the 2-1 win at Lingdale the first team to defeat champions (1 of only 2 clubs to do it) The season again saw progress both on and off the pitch with the addition to the coaching staff of goalkeeping coach Peter Laverick. The squad has 25 former junior players out of the 32 signed on continuing the philosophy that the team was set up to fulfil 7
2013 / 2014 We started the season at a new ground, Northfield sportsdrome and now have the support of the Whitehouse Pub who provide after match refreshments, Massive thanks !!! Our Football continued to go from the ridiculous to the sublime, some great moves and goals but games where we fell apart in sections of the game and got punished. This will happen with a young team but in the coming season we will look for those players now in their 5th season, even though they are still young, to step up to the plate. The season started off badly with Cooky suffering a double fracture but it did save us 3 points, happily Cooky started training at the end of the season. The emphasis was again on the SQUAD with Muzz starting to work shifts a massive loss for us after his early season form but that is why we needed numbers to turn up to games and training. We did progress off the field and on but again finished bottom ( Billingham Athletic resigning). Lav as leading goal scorer led the line well and finished 2nd highest scorer in Billingham. As a team we need to be more clinical and punish teams mistakes like they punish ours. For the first time we also produced a free match programme and developed to publishing it on-line
2014 / 2105
A NEW NAME‌ BILLINGHAM FC
Now
going into our 5th season we welcomed the 3rd group of young lads to come through from the juniors. Many have had a taste over the last couple of seasons on an ad-hoc basis and we will look to integrate them fully into the squad which I expect to be a little smaller this season but also a season wiser. The season turned out to be more about developments off the field than on. We introduced Beth Pounder to the management team in the closed season. Beth is a qualified Sports Scientist and will deal with players injuries and rehabilitation. Beth is also a former Billingham Junior. We held our 1st Golf day in August and this is now an annual event. We secured funding from the Teesside Philanthropic Society to enable us to buy training/ warm up kit for the whole squad. The press release featured in the Billingham Community News Paper and this led to a further grant from the Billingham Legacy Foundation which has enabled us to buy Rain jackets for the whole squad and 5 sub suits for the lads on the bench match days. Thanks to hard work by Ian Murray we have also retained RA DALTON as a sponsor of a new home kit (in the same style and colours as the juniors) and Klargester as new sponsors of our much needed away kit
On the pitch we continued to try and play a passing game, playing out from the back. After a good pre season we started reasonably well in the league but drawing games we really should have won, these lost points would come back at the end of the season to show in our final position. Our County cup game saw us host Ferryhill and a good performance saw us progress to the 1st round proper for the 1st time (another small landmark) and travel to Murton. A game on reflection we could have won but ended up going down 4-3. The end of the season was scrappy and when the U18’s folded some of the lads joined the squad, maybe a year early having had the past years experience but non the less they were welcomed into the squad.

Fishburn park travel from Whitby today to visit the Sportsdrome this weekend and we also extend a welcome to the 3 officials G Lewis, J Leonard and C Redpath. Both ourselves and Yarm objected to the proposal that we move to a one league format but 12 teams said that 1 division was their preferred option. The decision will mean we now have a 30 game season, providing the decision doesn’t lead to any further resignations through teams receiving heavy defeats from ex first division sides, the reason the league proposed and opted for the split. Our performance against St Marys fell short of the attitude we showed against Yarm which gave us our 2nd win of the season. We will need the Yarm attitude to get anything from today’s game but we are capable of it and in the Yarm result we have proved it. At the time of writing we look to have good numbers and quite a strong line up which will give the management team the hard decision of which players receive the nod and not just telling everyone to get stripped..... Great attitude ! Following the league decision my challenge remains to ALL the players signed on is to get us through this tough season with as many points as we possibly can and then for us to regroup and move forward. We also welcome back Ian Murray to the home dug out!

Lower Back Exercise Programmes!! Regular exercises to restore the strength of your back and a gradual return to everyday activities are important for your full recovery. As well as these programmes the most important exercise of all is working on your posture!!! In everything you do, it is easier said than done but working on how you sit at work, taking regular breaks walking around if you have an office job, the way you sit at home, you’re driving sitting position! Try and think about it all the time, be aware of how you are sitting and try and get out of old habits! There are many reasons for a sudden onset of back pain, keeping up regular aerobic exercise alongside these exercises will help massively! Initial Exercise Program

Table amended after the resignation of Middleton Rangers, Cargo Fleet & Billingham Synthonia.
This season following the merging of the two divisions every team will play each other once. The division will then split in two, the bottom 9 will then play in their own division and the top 9 in theirs. The team finishing in the bottom 9 cannot finish higher than 10th despite the number of points they attain by the end of the season.
THIS HAS NOW BEEN CHANGED TO A SINGLE DIVISION FORMAT

AMAZING !!! Our Programme averaged 72 reads per issue, even more suprising was where it was read! The vast majority as expected were read by people in the UK (I’m guessing Teesside) but our programme was also read overseas in 17 other countries. The table to the right shows where and how many reads from each country. If you are reading this outside the UK please put a comment on our facebook page so we know who & where you are. www.facebook.com/pages/BillinghamFC/1429244360680279 Thank you, Danke, Gracias, Merci, Hvala, Grazie,Дякую, Obrigado, Kiitos, ขอบคุณ, terima kasih, متشکرم
