Why should you visit? The Indian Institute of Science is one of the premier institutions in the country. Visiting the university and imbibing its environment will inspire any young student who is interested in science and has the ambition of becoming a scientist. Personally I felt that visit the place gave me first hand exposure to the scientific research happening at the frontiers. While a student at school just has access to his/her textbook and can only possibly imagine what is being taught, it is not possible to indulge oneself in true scientific exploration. Hence, a visit to IISc Bangalore, will infuse a further interest in the student. The open day that is held every year is the day when IISc opens its departments to the public. There are scientific demos, experiments and live exhibits shown on that day. Undergraduates, Post graduates, PhD research scholars and post doctoral fellows give personal explanations and live demos during the course of the day.
Meanwhile for college students, there is an intercollegiate science fest that is held with various quizzes and competitions. Participating in that was another kind of an experience where there was space to interact with various college students with similar interests.
I loved the science fair! I got to talk to astrophysicists and rocket scientists!
The 50 departments in the university showcase concepts and show breakthrough research to the participants. I feel that this is particularly important to students in high school.

Why should you visit? A visit to this museum could be instrumental in kindling one's interest towards the technological sciences. The various exhibits surprised me and intrigued my mind to ask several questions. The importance of the museum mainly lies in the field of engineering and innovation. Particularly young kids should be encouraged to visit as it will raise many questions and get them intersted in the workng of many "things". I visited once when i Was a third grade and the kids museum was what interested me a lot. The super cool experiments were very enjoyable even if it related to ocmplex scientific concepts. I highly recommend that schools and parents take children for such visits.
The kids science museum was the best. We got to try our hand at some super cool experiments!

Why should you visit? The deepest questions always lie in the depths of the universe and the cosmos. Since every human being inherently asks these qusetions by nature, it would be beneficial for anyone who visits the planetarium as they would get some of these questions answered. You can also interact with India's leading astrophysicists at the shows and get inspiration and guidance in the subject.
The special events are the ones that tend to be more important than the regular shows. Great scientists and Professors excelling at the international forum conduct lectures at the planetarium. If you live in Bangalore, it would be useful to keep a tab on these announcements and attend the lectures.
