Florida Rep extends

Let’s Fall in Love

Florida Repertory Theatre announces the extended run of Let’s Fall in Love: A World Premiere Cabaret Event in the ArtStage Studio Theatre until Nov. 21. Masks are required for all patrons while inside Florida Rep facilities, and the theatre asks that all patrons comply with posted health and safety guidelines. Let’s Fall in Love celebrates the music of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Tony Bennett, but it begins with the crooner who started it all, Bing Crosby. With Evan Tyrone Martin at the center of the action, the cabaret charts the singer’s journey and how these iconic voices inspired him to become a professional singer. Using the music of Nat King Cole as a way in, audiences will take a journey through American musical history to see how Bing made way for

a new genre of singer, and how Nat King Cole broke barriers to rise to international stardom while crossing paths along the way with Frank, Sammy, and Tony Bennett. Chicago-based singer and actor Evan Tyrone Martin makes his Florida Rep debut in Let’s Fall in Love, but he is no stranger to the music of Nat King Cole. Martin appeared in two national tours with Chicago’s Artists Lounge Live, starring in one-manshows saluting Cole, Unforgettable: Falling in Love with Nat King Cole and An Unforgettable Nat King Cole Christmas. Let’s Fall in Love is a collaboration between Martin, Florida Rep associate artistic director Jason Parrish, and longtime guest musical director and arranger Victoria Casella. By Joy Ursillo November is a busy month at Cultural Park Theater. On Nov. 2, Adrienne DeSalvo joins us for one evening only with her “Day of the Dead” presentation. Join Adrienne as she discusses the afterlife, receiving messages from the other side and communicating them to some audience members. She will explain and demonstrate how this form of contact offers hope and comfort, with the understanding that we will, one day, be reunited with our departed friends and family. Adrienne walks you through the mystery of the afterlife with humor, sensitivity, compassion and love. This event includes an introduction, question and answer session and, as the Spirits guide, a sampling of communication with some audience members. If the spirit moves you, feel free to dress in Day of the Dead clothing and/or accessories and bring along photos and trinkets of your departed loved ones for our altar. Christmas comes early for Charlotte Players

The Charlotte Players kicks off the holiday season in November with a trio of shows guaranteed to put smiles on audiences’ faces. First up is playwright Phil Olson’s “comedy with a heart,” A Nice Family Christmas, which opens on Nov. 5 for a seven-show run at the Langdon Playhouse. “Sometimes, theater performances can be thoughtprovoking, sometimes compelling, sometimes tragic, sometimes funny, and it is my view that they should always be entertaining,” said director and Charlotte Players president Jenni Elliott. “A Nice Family Christmas is definitely funny, sometimes thought-provoking and certainly entertaining.” Elliott believes audiences will enjoy following the Minnesota family as they gather on Christmas Eve. Mom and Grandma greet Carl, a journalist and the middle son; Michael, the eldest and a doctor; and Steven, the youngest, who is gay and has quite some difficulty explaining his situation to Grandma. Uncle Bob arrives unexpectedly, slightly tipsy and sporting a bottle of whiskey. Then comes the lovely Jill, who is separated from Michael and is hoping to reunite with him. “Mix all this together with the discovery of a secret that Mom is hiding, and you definitely have A Nice Family Christmas,” said the director. “So, I hope everyone will feel that they are eavesdropping on this family’s Christmas Eve and most of all, I hope they all enjoy the show.” A Nice Family Christmas premiered at

Joey and Maria’s Comedy Italian Wedding opens Nov. 12 in Naples

Joey and Maria’s Comedy Italian Wedding is an interactive dinner show that began in 1992. This show is written by Darlyne Franklin who is formerly Darlyne Dorato a native East Bostonian and now a resident of Bonita Springs. The show was derived from her observing how people enjoyed (in the early ‘90s) the trending murder mysteries and karaoke. People wanted to be part of the show. Merging her comedy and TV writing experience she decided to write a comedy wedding. An event where the audience is part of the show, they’re the invited guests, they dance, drink, eat, mingle with each other and the bridal party. Believing “it’s best to write what you know,”,she made the show like her own families’ traditional weddings, Italian. At every Italian wedding, the dad chooses the music, the uncle sings Mack the Knife, the groomsman makes a revealing toast about the groom, the Nonna sings the wrong lyrics to Cellaluna, someone over drinks, someone gets a “weekend pass from jail” from the

Gulfshore Playhouse presents Radio Golf

Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning American playwright August Wilson’s play Radio Golf will officially open the 2021-2022 main stage season at Gulfshore Playhouse. Directed by Marshall Jones III, Radio Golf will play at The Norris Center in Naples from Nov. 11 through Dec. 5. The final play in August Wilson’s American Century Cycle, Radio Golf tells the story of Harmond Wilks, an ambitious real estate developer in 1990s Pittsburgh. Determined to save his blighted childhood neighborhood and become the first Black mayor of Pittsburgh, Harmond quickly learns that revitalizing his neighborhood comes with a cost. Harmond’s plans to demolish a dilapidated house that sits on a development site are interrupted when the home’s owner, Elder Joseph Barlow, refuses to let the property go. As the opposing forces of history and progress collide, Harmond’s mission becomes a battle for his soul. Producing artistic director Kristen Coury said, “Relevance is a huge factor when it comes to season selection. Radio Gol’ was a relevant choice for myriad reasons. The most important of these is that in the midst of ongoing conversations surrounding race, theater can contribute to that conversation through telling stories. August Wilson is one of our artform’s most gifted storytellers, and his work does what I always aim to do as a theatermaker: foster a discussion that helps us understand our common humanity. I think our audience will find Radio Golf relatable as it

mirrors many of the issues we are facing in our community and in our nation. Naples is currently undergoing a period of growth and development, and as a community we are asking ourselves similar questions to those posed in Radio Golf. This stunning story will be brought to life by an astonishingly talented creative team that I am so thrilled to have as part of the Gulfshore Playhouse family.” The cast features Joseph C. Phillips as Harmond Wilks. Phillips has numerous theater, film, and television credits including the Broadway production of Six Degrees of Separation and television series like13 Reasons Why, The Resident and The Cosby Show. Genevieve VenJohnson will play Mame Wilks. VenJohnson is a Chicagobased actor who has performed in numerous productions both regionally and internationally. She has performed at Steppenwolf, Broadway in Chicago, and the Goodman Theatre, as well as in the European tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. Marvin Bell, an actor with a passion for the work of August Wilson, will star as Elder Joseph Barlow. Brian Nelson Jr. will make his Gulfshore Playhouse debut as Sterling Johnson. Rounding out the cast is Chauncy Thomas as Roosevelt Hicks Tickets are on sale starting at $43 per person. $36 tickets are available for preview performances on Nov. 11 and 12. Ceramic plates and stone sculptures at Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center ART

The Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center offers two unique art exhibitions for the month of November. The opening night reception takes place during Art Walk on Friday, Nov. 5 from 6 to 10 p.m. The Art on a Plate exhibition fills the Grand Atrium Gallery featuring intuitive designs, portraits, and geometric puzzles, strange characters, and fantasies, just as one would expect from a very diverse group of artists – each one is unique, provocative, and extremely well crafted. The Kendal Art Collection was conceived by Leonardo Rodriguez and developed in the Fine Arts Ceramic Center. The word “ceramic” comes from the ancient Greek “keramos” meaning “potter soil”, a clay made of inorganic composite material. The clay is very malleable in its natural form but becomes stiff after drying or firing. The technique of firing clay began with utilitarian objects for prehistoric society. Over the years, people learned that clay could change color depending on the mixtures of different oxides and that it could be coated (glazed) and decorated. Soon, crude pottery was transformed into more substantial objects of varied shapes and suitable for painting. Opening upstairs in the Capital Gallery, When Stone Speaks gives a voice where there was none. Working with material as old as the earth itself, Alice Kiderman’s series of sculptures explores themes of transition and reinterpretation. It

DAAS Co-Op features art of Rodney Acosta ART

In the month of November, DAAS Co-Op Art Gallery & Gifts is showcasing the artwork of Puerto Rican artist Rodney Acosta. The opening reception is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 5 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in conjunction with the monthly Fort Myers Art Walk. The exhibition, entitled Theater of the Absurd, will be on display through Nov. 28. Rodney Acosta is native of Puerto Rico, migrating to Florida shortly after graduating with a degree in fine arts from the School of Visual Arts. He later attended Rollings College, pursuing additional credits in fine arts. He has been working and exhibiting his works in the United States and the Caribbean. Acosta’s works are mixed media on board and canvas, utilizing found objects, oils, spray paint and textiles. In this collection, Acosta aims at expressing the strange side of what most call “normal” or maybe the inexplicable. From alien scenarios with strange plants to abandoned sites with melancholic glimpse of better and happier times. Some pieces are inspired in the artist’s experiences while others belong strictly to the unconscious. “I like to play with the Easter egg concept of hiding social protest or mischievous hints in my

work,” says Acosta, whose technique consists in dramatic contrasts of light, adding a tridimensional effect, combined with aggressive surface scratching in a constructive and destructive manner. “To me, this is the cycle of life in itself.” The gallery invites all Southwest Florida art collectors, supporters and enthusiasts to join them for the opening reception on Nov. 5 to 24 - NOVEMBER 2021

Neenie’s House celebrates anniversary with a shop local bazaar November 27

Janeen Vanko started Neenie’s House as a cool gift shop, selling art, fashion, collectibles and antiques. She wanted to turn her East Palm Beach Boulevard location into a New Bohemia. Three years later, the space has grown into a mélange of activity. When Neenie’s added the back yard “Peace Plaza,” the event space was host to rock bands, fleamarkets, quinceaneras and even yoga. The space is available to be rented by the public, for just about anything. When Angela Page’s Love Your Rebellion Group needed a home for their Zine Library, Janeen welcomed it. Neenie’s House has become involved with the local homeless community, accepting donations, and delivering them directly to the folks that need them. “What will the future bring for Neenie’s? Hopefully, more people. Most don’t know it exists, just like East Fort Myers, itself. So come over,” says Vanko. Join the celebration on Nov. 27 for Shop Local Saturday and Neenie’s House third anniversary from noon to 5 p.m. There will be live music, artists, vendors, and Vilma will be there with her Loveboat ice cream creations. Meet Marie Dyer, others at Artbeat Studios

Artist Marie C. Dyer has embraced and painted the rugged and graceful nature of southwest Florida for more than 30 years. From her studio at Cowlick Ranch in Punta Gorda, she captures the colors and innocence of her surroundings, from her beloved cows and chickens to majestic shorelines and flower gardens. Known to many as a signature artist at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, Marie has been highlighted in such publications as Southern Living magazine and Chico’s catalog, and her artwork has been used in promotional advertising by the City of Alexandria, Va. Marie’s impressionist style draws the observer into the work, following the path amongst the flowers or paddling by kayak into the still and calm backwaters. New York Yankees memorabilia

at The Baker Museum Artis—Naples, The Baker Museum announced the opening of Baseball Heroes: Works from the Jay H. Baker Collection, which will grant museum visitors exclusive access to one of the most significant collections of baseball memorabilia outside of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The immersive multimedia installation celebrates baseball as an integral part of American life for nearly 200 years through the presentation of original objects related to the careers of five iconic New York Yankees players: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Derek Jeter. Baseball Heroes will be on view now through May 15, 2022. “Artis—Naples’ theme throughout our multidisciplinary 2021-22 season is Esprit de Corps, and Baseball Heroes is certainly a prime representation of the value of teamwork,” said CEO and president Kathleen van Bergen. “We are thrilled to welcome visitors again to experience communal cultural activities and to enjoy this unparalleled collection of baseball memorabilia that truly helps explain the grip that ‘America’s game’ has on the world.”

Museum director and chief curator Courtney McNeil said she hopes the exhibition will inspire visitors to reflect on baseball’s influence on American identity. “These five players—Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle and Jeter—are seen through the exhibition as not just baseball heroes, but also as figures who transcended the sport of baseball to become cultural icons,” McNeil said. “This exhibition celebrates both their talents and their humanity.” Baseball Heroes presents original documents and artifacts coupled with historical photographs, film from iconic moments in the sport and dynamic large-scale graphics. More than 130 artifacts from the collection of Jay H. Baker are on view, including Ruth’s earliest known game-used bat, Mantle’s first signed professional contract and the jersey worn by Jeter for his Yankees debut in 1995. Seminal moments in the history of the sport are represented in the contract by which the Red Sox sold Ruth to the Yankees, giving rise to the legendary “Curse of the Bambino,” and the uniform worn by Don Larsen when he pitched the only perfect game to date in a World Series. BIG ARTS opens season with Chailosky exhibit

BIG ARTS opens the 2021-2022 fine arts season with sculpture artist Alberto Chailosky. Chailosky’s exhibit, “Lost but Not Forgotten,” consists of miniature, mixedmedia sculptures that depict important places of Chailosky’s past that, sadly, no longer exist, due to years of gentrification. However, the memories and stories these places held will remain forever within these works. The hope is that by memorializing them in sculpture, their cultural impact is preserved. The exhibit opened on Oct. 22. There will be an artist talk and reception on Friday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. in BIG ARTS Dunham Family Gallery on Sanibel. A virtual 3D tour of the exhibit will be available online at www.bigarts.org on Oct. 27. A graduate of RISD and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Chailosky has had an extensive career in the arts as a sculpture artist, graphic designer, and art director, including 11 successful years as a set designer for various Broadway shows and Saturday Night Live. “I have many inspirations from different times in my life. They have inspired me in different ways,” said Cholesky. “My two earliest were when I was a

young boy. First was one day after moving to the U.S. and watching color television, I saw magic! It was the opening scene to Mister Roger's Neighborhood. The camera panned through this amazing miniature city and ended up watching a trolley car, which transitions to Mister Rogers’ house. I get chills to this day watching that scene. The second was also as a young boy a bit later when I saw pictures of Red Groom's "Ruckus Manhattan.” I also got into miniatures through the theatre world. This led me to one eventful day when I met Hal Prince and he introduced me to one of the greatest set designers of all time, Eugene Lee. Eugene became a major influence, and I assisted him on many Broadway shows and Saturday Night Live.” For Chailosky, his “Lost but Not Forgotten” exhibit is both a historical trip and an autobiographical adventure of the late ’80s and ’90s. “The very first thing I do when starting a piece is pick the place I want to sculpt and the story I want to tell. I'm not interested in doing random places. My story is just as important as the art. Each sculpture is both a work of art and a piece of my life and a story of me,” Chailosky explained.

MUSIC

Dazzling DelRays celebrate 50 years with special Naples concert Nov. 13

Sometimes the treasure is buried on the back hill. Ask the Dazzling DelRays. They absorbed musical wisdom from stars in their descent and turned it into their own jet fuel. During the 1970s, the New Jerseyborn group opened for Jay and the Americans, Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, Little Anthony and the Imperials, the Coasters, the Platters and many more

Skip the psychedelia The three men behind the group — drum and guitar playing brothers Larry and Jim Farese and bassist Jim Meade — actually began singing and playing after the era of their favorite music. "You'll remember that in the late '60s rock music became very psychedelic. It was a big drug culture, right? People who loved the '50s music and early '60s music didn't like it, and we weren't crazy about it either," recalled Larry Farese. "So in the early ‘70s in the New York area, they had Sha Na Na. They were NYU students," he said. "The '50s revival started in the early ‘70s." At the time, all three were trying to pay for college. "That was a no-brainer for us to play these oldies, because we worked five to six nights a week. Plus the music is terrific. The harmonies are terrific," he said. "So we just started playing it." The group worked hard at developing the sound of those hit-makers. That, along with the fact that all could sing, got them calls to open for stars of that era or to be their pick-up band for East Coast shows. "We backed up Little Anthony," Farese said. "He wasn't a big star any more, but we loved his songs and had some we wanted him to do. But he said, 'Nah, I don't want to do that one.'" "We were the backup band for The Drifters. They had to be impressed because we could back up in harmony, too. We learned all their songs, even their choreography," he continued, as his brother cracked: "I don't think you want to see us doing their choreography now, though." They played '50s and ''60s rock nostalgia shows that brought in young talent 46 - NOVEMBER 2021

when voices and laughs were needed and met names before the word "big" was in front of them. Patty Smyth, later of Scandal ("The Warrior"), was their vocalist for some shows. The comedy came from a young guy named Jerry Seinfeld. Jim Farese chuckled, remembering he had to ferry Seinfeld to the remote gig because he didn't drive. We're in Naples but not to retire What is an East Coast rock 'n' roll band like this doing in Naples? In a word: Retirement. And that word has to be qualified. Jim Farese and Jim Meade, who had kept the group alive in New Jersey, moved down here to be near Larry Farese, who had moved to Naples to practice law in 1980. In theory, they were going to retire. In reality, the two took on a property management company. And they welcomed their barrister brother back into the group. "When they moved down here, it was like the Blues Brothers — we got the band back together. We're on a mission from God," joked Larry Farese. They quickly began to add local personnel: vocalist Sharon Vath, Kevin Dolan on drums, Bruce Inman on horns to back up

and the three originals Jim Farese, Larry Farese and Jim Meade front the group complete with dazzling outfits and choreography. Today, the band plays hits that largely span late '50s, early '60s — including Beatles and Temptation songs — and early '70s music. "What gives us a lot of satisfaction is it's like a high school dance 50 years later. Everybody's doing the dances. Everybody's singing along, from the first song on," Jim Farese said. "The beauty of it is that everybody's got their problems in life. They've lost a spouse. They've got their aches and pains. When they hear us, they're back in high school," Larry Farese added. So if you had a happy high school experience, you're happy when you hear us play. For three hours you forget all your problems." The Dazzling DelRays will perform a 50th anniversary concert Saturday, Nov. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cambier Park in Naples. Admission is free. Other upcoming performances are Nov. 5 at Sneaky Pete’s in Bonita Springs, Nov. 6 at Pinchers Tiki on Fort Myers Beach, Nov. 12 at Dogtooth in Naples. Trace Adkins at Seminole Casino Dec. 3 County music legend Trace Adkins will perform live in concert at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee on Friday, Dec. 3 as part of his “The Way I Wanna Go Tour.” The concert will begin at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. Adkins is 25 years into a career filled with bold authenticity and chart-topping smashes, fusing a booming baritone and commanding stage presence with sounds from all across the Country spectrum. Since his debut in 1996, the larger-than-life star has sold over 11 million albums and charted more than 37 singles, sending 14 into Billboard’s Top 10. He’s also racked up two billion streams and boasts a reputation for fiery live performance – not to mention his multiple Grammy nominations, awards from the ACM and CMT, and a willingness to think outside the box. Now, with his 13th studio album, “The Way I Wanna Go,” 25 all-new tracks celebrate the 25th anniversary of his “Dreamin’ Out Loud” debut. Steeped in the cultural meltingpot of his Louisiana upbringing, “The Way I Wanna Go” finds

Adkins leaning in to a lonewolf spirit and continuing down the road which made him a shapeshifting member of the Grand Ole Opry. The new album touches on all aspects of Adkins’ hitmaking career – from profound traditional balladry to clever-Country party anthems. With a sound that ranges from timeless twang to beat-driven bravado, the album brings a who’s who of unpredictable guests along for the ride. All-star collaborators include Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Stevie Wonder on harmonica, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Keb’ Mo’ and Melissa Etheridge. And Adkins’ creative craftsmanship is sharper than ever. Advance tickets are on sale now for $99 and are available by phone from Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000 or online at www.moreinparadise.com. Attendees must be 21 years of age.

John Fogerty, Foreigner at Hertz Arena Nov. 21 IN CONCERT

The Charity Pros, a Fort Myers nonprofit, has announced the launch of the “Charity Pros for Heroes” concert tour to honor the frontline healthcare workers and first responders who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. The fundraiser events will help provide educational scholarships and a “Megan’s Wish” grant to the children left behind by the death of our fallen heroes. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legend John Fogerty will headline the three Florida events with support from powerhouse classic rock band Foreigner, Hall of Fame band Cheap Trick, country artist Lauren Alaina and a special appearance by American Idol finalist, and Florida native, Casey Bishop. John Fogerty and special guest Foreigner will perform Nov. 21 at Hertz Arena in Estero. “Every day, we learn of the incredible stories of the children nationwide who are dealing with the effects of losing their parent,” explains Megan Maloney, founder of The Charity Pros. “These heroes go to work on the front lines every day, during our darkest times; many have given their lives protecting us from the very fate they eventually suffered, COVID-19.” Megan, a young entrepreneur and budding philanthropist, co-founded the Charity Pros with her father, Brad Maloney, and family friends like Keith Hudson, father of pop star Katy Perry, just prior to the pandemic. Their mission was to advocate for children’s social causes and help provide them opportunities for a better life. But once the pandemic hit, Megan learned about the hundreds of struggling children left behind by the fallen heroes and revamped some of the programming of the charity to offer them help. “These kids need our help; they are grieving the loss of a parent,” explains Keith Hudson. “This really goes straight to your heart. So many of these kids couldn’t see their parent for days due to

reach out about getting involved,” Megan added. “We need donors to join us supporting these kids and sponsors to take the tour around the country. The Charity Pros are here to make a difference. Music heals the mind, body, and soul. You never know, we may be coming to a city near you.” Event organizers are working with local fire departments for the huge community event on Nov. 21 to honor first responders. There will be raffles and fundraiser activities. Plans are to honor area fire and law enforcement personnel who have passed recently. For people wanting to support the efforts, here are some options: • You can send a Hero to the concert, make a $100 donation and ticket will be donated to local public service departments for distribution. • Make a $200 donation and go to the VIP Pre-show Party hosted by Casey Bishop (she will perform) complimentary hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and special appearance by Foreigner (not performing) • Tony Christensen Future Firefighter Scholarship - Make a donation to provide financial assistance to individuals wanting a career as a firefighter. working around the clock and the need to quarantine. Some kids never even got to say goodbye to their hero. It’s heartbreaking.” John Fogerty will be playing his iconic hits from Creedence Clearwater Revival and his solo career every night of the Heroes Tour and will be joined by one of the supporting bands and some surprises on every stop. “Each show will be a little different,” explains Megan. “Plus, you never know who else may show up. It is truly a blessing to have John Fogerty and all of these incredible artists join us in honoring the heroes.” The Charity Pros are already planning additional tours and events for 2022. Puddle of Mudd at Bert’s Back Porch Live Dec. 10

Bert’s Back Porch Live in Port Charlotte welcomes rockers Puddle of Mudd in concert on Dec. 10. Puddle of Mudd rise from the ashes with their sixth studio album in nearly a decade, entitled Welcome to Galvania. Formed in 1991, Puddle of Mudd has sold over seven million albums and has had a string of number-one singles, including the hits “Blurry,” “She Hates Me” and “Famous.” The new album, Welcome to Galvania, was produced by Cameron Webb (Alkaline Trio, Disturbed, Motorhead). It also marks the band’s first full-length album since Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love and Hate in 2009. “This album has been a long time coming. I’m just so happy to finally get it out there for my fans,” says Puddle of Mudd’s frontman Wes Scantlin. “I hope the new music inspires my fans to live their lives. I’m just trying to crawl under people’s skin and help them through their life musically.” Scantlin has provided Puddle of Mudd with lead vocals and rhythm guitar since the band’s inception. The origins of the band’s name came from the Missouri River flooding, damaging their rehearsal space. Puddle of Mudd released their first major album, Come Clean, on Aug. 28, 2001, which spawned the singles “Control” and “Blurry.” These hits propelled Puddle

of Mudd to reach the No. 5 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This success led to the band venturing out on a full-scale European and American tour, hitting the road with Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots, and

Staind. Come Clean reached triple platinum status in January of 2003. The subsequent album, Life on Display, was released in 2003 and reached gold status. They went on to release Famous in 2007. In 2009, they released Vol. 4: Songs in the Key of Love and Hate. In 2011, the band released an album of cover songs, entitled Re:(disc)overed. Now, Puddle of Mudd is ready to return to the rock scene with their sixth studio album, Welcome to Galvania. Inking a deal with Pavement Entertainment, their new material is primed to reach longtime and new fans. “Sometimes in life you come across people who want to bring you down and rip apart your soul. Well, those days are gone,” says Scantlin. “I have surrounded myself with a great team of people. They believe in me and I believe in them. I’d like to thank each and every one of them for their hard work and perseverance. I’d also like to thank all of my fans for their patience. This is just the beginning. I have a lot more rock ‘n’ roll in me to share with the world!” Tickets for Puddle of Mudd’s Dec. 10 concert in Port Charlotte are available at www.freshtix.com/events/puddle-of-mudd Bert’s Back Porch Live is located next to Twisted Fork and Bert’s Black Widow HarleyDavidson, 2208 El Jobean Road, Port Charlotte.
