AttheSept.3FortMyersCity Councilmeeting,forbothonstreetandCityHallparking,a motionunanimouslypassedby councilmemberstoindefinitely extendfreeafter5p.m.weekdays andenactfreeparkingalldayon weekends.

On-streetparkingwillremain freealldayonholidays.Digital signageontheparkingkiosksand mobileapplicationswillinform usersthatnopaymentisrequired after5p.m.orontheweekend.

Thechangesexcludeparking garagesandwillremainineffect unlessotherwisedeterminedin thefuturebyCityCouncil.

Certifiedquiltappraiser LarsCainwillbeonsiteand conductingappraisalsfrom 10a.m.to2p.m.Hisvast experienceincludesthe LibraryofCongressandthe SmithsonianInstitution.He hasbeensharinghisexpertiseformanyyearsandhasspokentomorethan1,500quilt groupsthroughouttheMidwest,NewEnglandareaandsouth toFlorida.

Since1977,hehasappraisedmorethan20,000quilts.
