AsofSept.7,theCityofFort Myersimplementedfreeon-street parkingalldayonweekendsand anindefiniteextensiontothefree after5p.m.weekdayon-street parkingindowntownFortMyers.
AttheSept.3FortMyersCity Councilmeeting,forbothonstreetandCityHallparking,a motionunanimouslypassedby councilmemberstoindefinitely extendfreeafter5p.m.weekdays andenactfreeparkingalldayon weekends.
On-streetparkingwillremain freealldayonholidays.Digital signageontheparkingkiosksand mobileapplicationswillinform usersthatnopaymentisrequired after5p.m.orontheweekend.
Thechangesexcludeparking garagesandwillremainineffect unlessotherwisedeterminedin thefuturebyCityCouncil.

Since1977,hehasappraisedmorethan20,000quilts.
