The College wants to ensure that you find the right course for you and our friendly Student Services Team is here to assist you with your decision. You will be fully supported throughout your course and in every aspect of college life during your time with us.
Our new purpose-built Construction Centre also now provides excellent facilities for our Brickwork and Plastering students on our main campus at North Star.
We look forward to seeing you.
At Swindon College we put students first. We are large enough to offer a full range of courses and facilities but small enough to care about individuals. All students have the benefits of a personal tutor and a team of highly-experienced professional teaching staff. We offer a range of courses at different levels. Many of our students enter further education programmes, achieve and then progress on to full-time higher education courses here at the College or at universities around the country. Swindon College offers university-level courses at HND/C, Foundation Degree, Degree and even Masters (postgraduate) level.

After all, it’s not all about work; they want to help you keep a balance in your life. You will have a one-to-one tutorial with your Personal Tutor at least once a term. During these meetings you will agree and set achievable but challenging targets on LEAP (your individual learning plan) to help you achieve your full potential. In addition, you will attend four tutorials in the Student Enrichment Centre throughout the year on topics such as e-safety, careers and staying safe.
Student Agreement Our Student Agreement (which includes the College’s Disability Statement) sets out our commitment to you. This can be obtained from Student Services or our website. At the start of your course, you will be given access to the Agreement and an online Student Handbook. You will also be introduced to your Personal Tutor. An induction programme helps you to find your way around the College and ensures that you know how to access all the facilities available. You will also have a LEAP (Learner Engagement and Progress) plan, which allows you to take responsibility for your own learning through the setting of realistic targets which will support you throughout your course.

Performing Arts Level 3 Originally from Cardiff, Shannon moved to Swindon to dedicate all of his time to his Performing Arts studies. He said: “I have grown in confidence since joining the course and the social side is amazing. I have made so many great friends, I love them all. The facilities are unbelievable; we have the best of the best! All of the tutors are so experienced; they are like life coaches. The best experience for me was being asked by Johnny Wilkes to go with him to Blackpool to sing together. It was incredible and a great honour. After I have completed three years here I hope to secure a job in the West End; I feel like I have a good chance after doing this course. I would recommend it without a doubt.”
