Originating from the massage techniques used in Scandinavian countries, this treatment is often called Swedish massage. The invigorating massage concentrates on removing physical tension from all areas of the body. The course is designed for adults who wish to train for a career in massage therapy. This course is designed for the student who has a strong enthusiasm for make-up, or those who would like to gain more experience and tips on application for their own use. This would be an excellent course for someone wishing to provide make-up for weddings and special occasions or for hairdressers and beauty therapists who wish to extend their skills. Students will be expected to attend one evening a week for 18 weeks and will need to complete independent study (3-6 hours a week) at home to develop a portfolio. The course is designed for practitioners wishing to extend and develop their skill base. It will cover the routine and application of Stone Therapy Massage as well as anatomy, Health & Safety and client care.
