Dan is a young man spending a lot of time in his flat. His routine is always accompanied by electronic music which is pumping through his headphones. But when he steps outside, he feels disconnected from the world around him and only finds solace in nightclubs. Techno music and drugs transport him to a world where he can be himself, where he feels free. One day, he catches the eye of a baby which will change his perception of the world around him.

His previous films TRAVELOGUE TEL AVIV (2017) and PEEL (2020) screened at numerous festivals and were awarded several prizes. VOICELESS is currently in production.

NIKOLA ILIĆ * 1977 in Serbia. Nikola Ilić is a director and cinematographer living between Switzerland and Serbia. In 2013 he graduated with a Bachelor in Video from the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU). He codirected KOD ĆOŠKA (2013), JUST ANOTHER DAY IN EGYPT (2015) and DIDA (2021). His short RAKIJADA (2016) was shown all over the world and won various prizes. He shot ALL INCLUSIVE (2018) by Corina Schwingruber Ilić, selected at over 250 festivals including Venice, Toronto and Sundance.

The essayistic personal short documentary tells the story of a soldier who never wanted to be one. Choosing never to pull the trigger, his defiance leads to military prison. Faking mental illness he detours away from the front line, through a lunatic asylum back home to Belgrade on the day that NATO begins bombing the entire country.

For years, Antonio, a bricklayer, has fudged the books and paid his employee Victor under the table, but Covid causes his system to collapse. While at first he still wants to blame the system for his misery, he finally has to realise that he can only save his friendship with Victor and his relationship with his wife if he finally takes responsibility for his actions.

CHRISTIAN WEHRLIN * 1983. Christian Wehrlin studied Social Anthropology. For a decade afterwards, he worked as a production manager and producer, before concentrating on work as a writer and director. As head writer and creator of the thriller series NOBLE CAUSE, a Swiss-Irish coproduction, he attended the CoPro pitching of Series Mania. He is an alumnus of TFL Next, the ZFF Academy and the Canneseries Writers Club as well as a member of the European Writers Desk.
