Issue The advancement of technology in our contemporary society has allowed people to expand their reach but at the same time, lose touch quickly with the places they visit. We are becoming modern nomads without the traditional roots of loyalty to a particular place in the world. Our paths constantly overlap and intercept, yet we have weakened our relations to the world and environment. The paths of travel which interconnect are brief, fleeting, and unimpactful. Ironically, man’s abilities of travel and transportation has distanced himself further from the world and from other human beings.
Objective 4D Hotel will introduce the concept of ‘Trace’ where these modern nomads can make, leave behind and take away unique experiences related to the city’s culture and be part of a worldwide network through 4D Hotel. Secondary to the user’s hotel experience, 4d Hotel also seeks to revitalize existing buildings that can enhance the historical, architectural or cultural value of a city and its people.
