Percussion Addendum
Piece of Iron (Perc 1 & 5): Use any high-pitched, dry metal sound, such as a muffled glass bottle. A glass bottle or a set of metal wrenches can also be used as alternatives.
Cabasa with Stick (Perc. 2 & 3): Hold the cabasa firmly by the steel ball chains, positioning the instrument horizontally. Strike the steel ball surface with a drumstick, adjusting force and speed to control dynamics. This method ensures dry, precise articulation and allows for a broad dynamic range.
Muffled Bass Drum (Perc 3): When indicated, use any technique to achieve a dry sound with minimal reverb, similar to a dry kick drum.
Muted Cowbell (Perc. 5): Strike the mouth of the bell with the edge of the stick. Hold the cowbell firmly for a muted sound with minimal reverb.
