31 is a screen, a wall, a small space for pause. 31 responds to ‘making home’ by asking how we build and dwell with sustainability. 31 questions how we unearth the relationship between the geological history of a place and its inhabitation over time. 31 unfired rammed earth blocks are made entirely from the ‘waste material’ of a demolition site in Dublin 02. 31 addresses the systematic changes necessary in the construction sector and the material intelligence of architects. 31 was developed in collaboration with students from UCD School of Architecture, Planning & Environmental Policy.

Final Display at the RHA Summer Exhibition.
