The Nature Of Intelligence

The Thesis Of Mind & Body

The power struggle between the mind and body exists in many forms, existential threats such as depression, hallucinations, narcotics etc. can also affect our ability to reasonably understand the world around us, in a way that may affect our ability to function in everyday life. A lot of things we may not even realise, for example caffeine is a stimulant which i personally have as my daily driver, I probably couldn't be as productive without it, otherwise I'd feel tired all the time, lethargic, and generally quite miserable. I feel like most people have something they depend on, to keep them going throughout the day, especially in this increasingly busy world we live in, whereby everything seems to get more complicated by the day. Live in the moment wherever possible, as you often find the most rewarding interactions occur, when you don't think too deeply about things, and just exist as you are, in the here and now.

You Are Who You Are

You're all unique in your own special way dear reader, even if you're on a tablet, mobile phone, pc, or heck even a TV you do you, you're awesome! You shouldn't feel like you need to fit into a mould that someone else has created, as that which inhibits us, also inhibits our creative freedom. It's okay to feel frustrated sometimes, I feel angry about things that are completely out of my control, it's totally normal and you should embrace it, learn from the experience, and try to move on if possible. If you ruminate on something for too long, it will eat away at you inside, until there's nothing left but am empty husk. Embrace the mundane, things that on the surface seem very simple, can be extremely rewarding given the right context, like planning a shopping trip, or going to a theatre you like, or even going out with friends. There is always that one thing that takes people to their happy place, don't feel like you have to do something, just because others expect you to, just...be...yourself.

Just Be Yourself

It may seem counter-intuitive as the world is constantly telling you, that being yourself could negatively impact your career etc. If life has taught me anything, then not being yourself, is going to cause more harm in the long run, than ruminating on any accidental occurrence, that may be brought about, by being spontaneous, it's okay be silly every once in a while. Embrace your uniqueness, and don't feel afraid to do something outside your comfort zone, if you find it interesting, just go with the flow. The strangest pleasures in life, can come from things you haven't yet discovered, or just don't know about yet. Being different isn't a bad thing, most days I'm afraid of my own shadow, and I meticulously plan everything to the point where I feel like I'm just a cog in a machine. This inhibits creativity, and creative freedom is what makes you who you are, it could be anything from cars, horses, football, engineering, movies etc. The list goes on and on, but you get the gist of it by now i imagine, or at least I can assume as much.

Don't Be Afraid To Be Different

This is why creativity can be so interesting and diverse, in it's multiplicity, as I mostly try to tackle darker subjects, such as the nature of the human psyche, and what makes people tick, but I also like to sometimes tackle existential topics like; How was the universe made? Is space travel possible? How many layers does an onion have? Maybe not the last one, except for the obligatory Shrek reference, anyways that's besides the point. How are brain works is fundamentally as confusing, yet an incredibly interesting phenomena, like the inertia of a plain landing from flight, it can be both exhilarating, and terrifying at the same time! I wish that one day, I may find out the reason why we exist, what's the meaning of life etc. As I feel like we constantly kick the can down the road, and hope to find the answers later, but in order to achieve our full potential, we need to work together, instead of distancing ourselves from others, no matter how hard we try. You're all precious in your own special way, and I hope this finds you well dear reader, as I don't often write like this anymore, I think it's been a few years at least. This was my ted talk, thank you for reading, roll credits!

P.S. In the end the connection between mind and body can be just as obstructive, as it is intuitive, in some ways our own mortality may be a burden, as well as our own morality in some ways, but it also drives us forward to constantly pursue higher goals, and seek to elevate ourselves, further than we previously thought possible. If you've read this far thank you, and i hope you have time to check out some of my other works. Cognitive Dissonance is also definitely a thing, especially when reading this, and realising how absurd it all is, that we can even think, and function in the way we do in the first place.

THE END IS NOT THE END IS NOT THE END IS NOT THE...
