SOLARYS

Page 1

SOLARYS warehouse warm like the sun It is a modular radiation heating system: it does not warm up the air, but people and objects. It is easy to operate because it can be programmed from your desktop PC. The software makes it very easy to configure the layout of the warehouse, with all the installed elements, program each Solarys lamp to suit your specific requirements, monitor consumption and the maintenance schedules. Radiation heating is also recommended to keep warm any room and environment where doors are opened frequently and where it is more difficult to keep a warm room temperature. In this case radiation is useful because it does not warm up the air but the persons and objects below the radiating surface.

Control & logic box The Solarys WH system is fitted with an electronic control unit used to program, monitor and control operations, i.e. it: a) Programs and monitors the performance of each lamp. b) Monitors every safety device (gas leak detectors etc.). c) Monitors every Presence Detector Sensor. d) Controls the main gas supply solenoid valves. e) Controls the external temperature thermostat. f) Interfaces with customer’s PC. Communications system The control unit communicates with each device - i.e. lamps, safety devices and Presence Detector Sensor via Power Line Communication; in practice, no data network cables are needed as the communication signals use the power line. Control unit installation Control unit can be installed anywhere inside the building: no special mounting position is required. The control unit requires a dedicated cable for: the main gas safety solenoid valve; the external temperature thermostat; the data cable (Ethernet network or USB ) for connection to user’s PC.

LOOK AT THE FUTURE

The safety system consists of an electronic board that communicates with the control unit via power line communication; up to eight alarm devices can be connected, such as gas leak or smoke detectors.

Solarys lamp with Drytronic technology generates infrared power by means of a catalytic reaction. This reaction is achieved by using a catalyser that, once activated, can break down gas molecule and separate hydrogen from carbon. Once the gas passes through the catalyser, it reaches the outer surface of the lamp as hydrogen and it comes into contact with oxygen, thereby triggering the catalytic reaction that generates radiation, i.e. emitting infrared.

software Software The Solarys system can be programmed directly via the control unit or a PC using the software included in the pack. The software lets you configure the layout of the warehouse, with all the installed elements, program each Solarys lamp to suit operating requirements, monitor consumption and maintenance schedules. Home page The home page screen has four buttons: setup - Management - Statistics - Tests and maintenance. Setup The Setup screen is used to configure the layout of the Solarys WH heating system. Layout This function is used to configure the entire system using the tools listed below: it is possible to select a warehouse model and adjust the shape and size accordingly. User can select accessories such as: Solarys lamp, safety device, Presence Detector Sensor system, control unit, gas main solenoid valves, PC and define their precise position inside the premises. The gas system can be configured using a system of pipes and fittings that are connected to all the lamps and the main supply network. “Overview” function counts and monitors all the selected components such as: number of lamps, number of safety devices, linear metres of lengths of pipes, PC, control unit, thermostat and main solenoid valve. Control unit This function is used to set: daily heating start and end time. Number of lamps on simultaneously at start-up. Desired internal temperature. Lamp “Standard” or “Presence Detector Sensor” control. Viewing of external temperatures. Sets gas cost. Lamp This function is used to set, for each lamp: lamp ON or OFF status. Daily heating start and stop time if the same differs from control unit settings. “Standard” or “Presence Detector Sensor” program. Operation percentage. Working hours, cost per consumption displays. On/Off settings for the different week days. Calendar This function is used to access the calendar settings for the entire system. Management The screen displays the building layout with all installed lamps and accessories, highlighting for each lamp: on, off or faulty state. Operation percentage. “Standard” or “Presence Detector Sensor” mode. External and internal required temperature. Tests and maintenance Use this screen to check communication status, preheating element on/off status and enter the gas solenoid settings during final testing and maintenance phases. Statistics The screen displays, for each lamp: operating hours. Consumption and cost. Service state. Consumption in different periods.
