THE TALENT SEARCH IMPACT Since 1977, TSU’s TRiO Talent Search program has been essential to helping an immense
amount of local students prepare for, apply to, and succeed in college. In the last four years alone, 98%
of Talent Search’s high school seniors graduated on time, and 80% enrolled in college!

WHAT TALENT SEARCH DOES • Counseling/Advising • FAFSA • Post-Secondary Exposure
• Assistance in Applying to College • Financial Aid Completion • Career Development
TRIO Talent Search encourages high school students to complete secondary school requirements and continue their education in a postsecondary program of study Program participants receive: u Support in completing high school u College and career guidance information u SAT/ACT study guides/waivers & Registration u Assistance in applying for admission to 2 yr. and 4 yr. colleges u Information and assistance in applying for scholarships and financial aid u Training in development of personal
qualities to assist first generation students’ success in college
Talent Search also provides seminars and workshops for the parents of these students
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Students in the high schools listed below are eligible for the Talent Search Program if they: u Demonstrate potential for post-secondary study, and u Need financial aid for college expenses, or u Need social/cultural, diverse services to develop their true self-worth and potential u Or first generation college bound students u Must be a U.S. Citizen and permanent resident of the U.S.
