As we have all witnessed over the past couple of years, at anytime, anywhere, there is a shift that is happening to restaurants and this will only accelerate…. Undoubtable Ghost kitchens are the future and will remain an important trend post-pandemic due to the following four reasons: Ghost kitchens align with Modern Consumer Preferences being takeout and delivery. According to the National Restaurant Association, more than 21% of restaurant orders will be strictly delivery by 2025, which is a 40% increase on the pre-pandemic forecast of 15% The Ghost Kitchen Business Model is Profitable and Flexible. In an industry with notoriously thin margins, ghost kitchens provide a rare opportunity to reduce operating costs and pocket more revenue from each sale. Ghost Kitchens lower the Barrier for Entry and Success. Because they require less overhead, especially upfront. Ghost kitchens make it easier for people to start restaurants. There are six key points your customers and/or leasees should consider as they begin the exciting journey as part of Markt: Customer Concept: When creating a concept, think about the type of food you would like to make and the type of food your target customers would like to eat. Base your food items off your concept and add it to your menu. One of the great things about ghost kitchens is that if one concept doesn’t work, you can easily switch over to another at a small cost.
