Welcome from Crossroad Farms! We warmly extend an invitation for you to attend our 5th annual bull sale. We would like to thank everyone who attended our sale last year. Some of you came from a very long distance and we really appreciate the effort you all made to attend. Thank you to our many repeat customers for your continued support and confidence in our program. We have enjoyed getting to know many of you during the past 15 years of our involvement in the seed stock business and we truly value the many friendships we have made. We want to welcome new customers and we look forward to assisting you with your bull needs. Many customers come to the farm before the sale where they have more time to make their choice, and we are able to give you all the information possible to help you make the best decision. Please call or feel free to stop by the farm anytime. We always enjoy those visits in the bull pen and of course the coffee is always on! It sure feels good to have some optimism in the cattle industry. Calf prices were certainly better this fall and with the cow herd numbers dropping, we think, that in a very short time we are going to see some record prices. We all must get ourselves in the position where we can take advantage of these good prices to make up for past losses. This is where our Simmental genetics have so much to offer, with their superior maternal traits, performance and excellent carcass values that will give you heavy weight steers and top end heifers to fill the huge demand for replacement females come fall. Choosing a herd bull is one of the most important choices a cattleman has to make. A good bull will pay for himself when you sell his first set of calves. A poor bull, and especially if you keep your replacements, will cost you for years. It really pays to buy the best genetics you can. We are very excited about our 5th annual Bull sale. Our program is strong and we feel we have put together another great set of uniform bulls - Red Factor, Fullbloods, Full Flecks and Blacks that are sired by our tremendous walking herd sires and leading A.I. sires. They come from strong productive cow families with good feet and udders. Our quality and selection is great, from calving ease to performance, bulls with solid genetics that are semen tested and ready to go to work for you. AND they are affordable, last year over half the bulls sold from $2,000 to $3,500. At this time we would like to say a sincere thank you to our family, friends and neighbors who without hesitation give us a helping hand, before, during and after the sale. Thank you to Claude Wasden and all the crew working in the back, Jerry, Brian and staff, our good ring men and consultants; your work is very much appreciated. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday February 23rd. If there is a bull you are interested in but are unable to attend the sale, we have our very reliable and capable sales staff and consultants to bid on your behalf. Just let us know or contact anyone of them for professional service. Come early and enjoy some Crossroad hospitality, there will be lots of food and refreshments. We hope to see you at the sale and our sincere appreciation to all who have expressed interest in our program. The Woytiuk Family
Gerald, Laurie and Corey. Jody, Jackie, Olivia, Shelby, Jaici and Cooper.
Come anytime to view the bulls prior to the sale.

Welcome to the Crossroad Farms Annual Bull sale. The Crossroads program continues to evolve and in my opinion each year the bulls on offer have gotten stronger and are definetly the kind in demand in the commercial and seedstock industry today. The Fullblood offering is always impressive, without question this is one of the places to shop for Fullblood genetics. These folks have consistently built day to day with their red and black genetics, to the point where they are now very competitive from a quality standpoint with the Fullbloods. Whether your herdsire needs be in the commercial or the purebred industry Crossroads Farms Annual Bull Sale should be circled on your calendar. When it comes to hospitality, the family takes so much pride in this event and it truly is a pleasure to be a part of the large crowd in attendance The Bouchard Livestock staff will have been through the bull pens and evaluated the bulls individually and welcome any questions you might have. Give the Crossroads folks a call and as always they will work with you in every way possible. If you are unable to be in the stands sale day it would be a pleasure to visit with you about your herdsire needs.

Here are the first set of calves from our LFE 322U “Stubby,”homo polled and hetero black herd sire and we wish we had more. We were looking for a moderator in our search for our first black bull and some thought that maybe he was too small. Well look at him now, he's all grown up and is producing calves that are stout, easy doing and full of meat and muscle. Lewis Farms had a son that was named Reserve Champion at Edmonton's Farmfair and at the Checkers sale they also had an impressive heifer calf named Reserve champion overall that sold to Kelly Ashworth for $25,000. We are very pleased with this young herd sire, producing such standouts on his first year. Here is our lead off red bull out of LFE 322U that is super thick and deep, has a great hair coat, huge testicles and style to burn. His dam is the one in the pasture that everyone asks, “Who is she”? Picture perfect, angular, structurally sound with a flawless udder. If you have been searching for that “great bull”, look no further, we have the “Solution”. Testing inconclusive on the polled test and are waiting on retest results. Dam has always had polled calves and sire is homo polled.

His dam is a transplant Hero daughter that raised a super bull calf going to Cattle Creek Crossing Co., and lots 9, 10 & 11 are sired by him. Her last year's good bull went to Jordan Walter from Spirtitwood. Tested homo polled and hetero black with quality that really needs to be considered.

Moderate framed super stout and stylish out of the exciting new LFE Rochfort purchased by Bonchuk's with a semen share going to Robb Farms. His dam belongs to the great IPU 71N cow family that Robbs have had so much success with. We selected her when our name was drawn at the “Pick of the Barn” in 2009 and she has been in our flushing program all year. Here is a son of Slapshot and a full brother to one of our high selling bulls at last year's sale going to Pheasantdale Simmentals of Balcarres, Sk. We lost Slapshot during his second breeding season. His calves are born with tremendous natural muscling and a ton of volume. They have exceeded our expectations with 11 sons averaging $5,500 at the past two sales. Just like his sire, Convoy is early maturing, long bodied with an exceptional rear quarter, loose hided, great color, thick hair and has good testicle development. His good footed dark red, moderate framed broody dam has a great future at Crossroad Farms. I can hardly wait to see her 2011 calf! A top quality herd sire for you to evaluate. Born Feb. 19th and a definite sale feature. Dynastorm is a son out of our easy calving, homo polled and extremely quiet SFM 3P herd sire. These 3P sons have always been in high demand and over the past 3 years customers have purchased 20 sons that averaged $4,500. Productive 3P daughters have sold to Robb Farms, Tyler Farms, Arrow Creek Simmentals, Ryan Blanchette and Blue Creek Farms. His awesome multi red and multi polled Chuckwagon/Red Deck McMillen bred dam has never had a calf over 98 lbs. Her progeny have sold to Lazy S at Mayerthorpe, Ab., Spruce Grove Cattle Co., Cattle Creek Crossing and XRC Simmentals. Dynastorm has all the qualities a breeder looks for: sound structure, lots of internal dimension, good top and rear quarter, dark color, good hair, large testicles and low birth weight with explosive growth. Here is an extremely high quality individual that you can use on heifers and still get a great calf in the fall. His EPD's show +11 for calving ease and above average growth. A consistent combination of genetics that we definitely need to use in the Crossroad program. Testing inconclusive on the polled test and are waiting on retest results. Dam has always had polled calves and sire is homo polled.

Cornerstone is an excellent breeder with a moderate frame, a ton of volume and good feet. We purchased this full fleck herd sire at Dale Murray's end of March bull sale, so the 16 sons we are offering you are mostly born in February making their group younger, which doesn't seem to be a disadvantage because they certainly have all the qualities to stand with the rest. They are one of the most consistent groups we have ever had, so easy doing, naturally thick, lots of hair, solid colored and with the pedigree of Porterhouse Regent, Knight Mr.T and Helga 10Y, the females will be outstanding. Here is a really good Cornerstone son with incredible thickness, thick hair coat and large testicles. His productive dam has given us 3 good females working in the herd and 2 sons that have sold to top cattlemen. We think Packer is an exceptional bull and hope you like him too. TWIN. Ranger has been admired by many all summer for his thickness and style, an excellent color pattern, thick hair coat and good testicle development. His high fleckvieh influenced dam has produced bulls for Timber Farms, Belle Plaine Colony and Glen Stonehouse. Ranger is a twin and his 84 lb. birth weight has turned into a mid December 1380 lb. mass of meat and muscle. Put your trust in Ranger, he will definitely sire you heavier calves and leave you with foundation females that will produce.

Here is the last Radium bull in our offering and he is a good one. Long and thick, he follows his mothers color pattern. She is another super producing Houston/Kamille transplant cow that produced an awesome bull that Jonathon from the Holt Colony selected at our 2008 bull sale. Copper is a bull that possesses the performance and pedigree to work in any commercial cow herd.

We have 4 Milestone sired bulls to offer this year. They are larger framed power bulls that exhibit extra length, adequate thickness and good color and hair. Milestone was our $26,000 high seller in our 2009 bull sale going to Hoegl Farms at Lloydminster. Their Milestone heifer calves sold for $6,000 & 7,000 at the Source sale and their bull calves placed extremely well at the shows and will certainly be popular at the Hoegl bull sale. In our 2008 bull sale a full brother to Milestone sold to Blue Creek Farms from Vulcan, Ab. The dam of Magnum is a perfect uddered, deep bodied great producing female that has given us 3 productive daughters and a good bull for Doug Marjoram. Magnum has a tremendous hip, super length, color, good testicle development and a very strong maternal packed pedigree with proven genetics. Here is a real outstanding herd sire.

He is sired by the high selling Hayshaker bull that sold at our 2009 bull sale to Kulyk Simmentals. His dam has been a real producer for us with progeny going to Riverbend Colony at Waldheim, also to Pascal Simmentals in Manitoba and the high selling Crossroad Sinatra herd sire purchased by Windmill Stock Farm and Doug Marjoram at our 2007 bull sale. (Sinatra has left some incredible calves.) Referee is a powerful bull that will be reasonably priced because of the small patch of white on his shoulder and back.
