3. How to Bid: Now that you are logged in and your account phone number / email is verified you are able to bid on an upcoming sale. Simply find the lot you are interested in bidding on. After you have found the lot there are 2 options for bidding on the lot.
- Place Next Bid – to place the next bid on the item, you see the amount in the first box, you simply click the “Place Bid” button and after you review the bid and agree to the terms and conditions your bid will be placed.
- Max Bid Amount – to place a max bid you put your max bid in the second box listed as “Max Bid” on the item, and then click the “Place Bid” button and after you review the bid and agree to the terms and conditions your bid will be placed as the next bid. With the Max Bid placed the computer will then keep you as the high bidder to the max amount you have placed. This can be a great feature if you are not able to give 100% attention to the sale close out and protect your interest so you do not miss out on any lots you want to purchase. The Max Bid amount is completely confidential from the seller during the sale process.

Example of How the Max Bid Works - If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest. Please note that in some cases a lot value can change very quickly if 2 max bids are placed on the same lot competing against each other.
4. Watch List Feature: If you have items in multiple auctions or only a few from the same auction that you want to watch with out having to scroll through the entire list you can add the lots to your watchlist. On each lot you will see the “eye” button beside the bid button, by clicking this “watchlist” Icon that item is added to your personal watchlist for easy viewing of just your favorite lots in this sale or on the entire site.
5. Sale Ending / Closeout: Most FarmGate Timed Auction sales close racehorse style with extended bidding.
What is Racehorse Style Close? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
How will Extended Bidding works? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
6. Bidding Close & Follow-up: After the clock has gone to “ENDED” and no bidding has occurred for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished. Following the close typically within 24 hours of the sale close the sale consignor will contact all winning bidders to arrange payment, transfer of pedigrees and delivery/Pick up of your lot. Or as the winning bidding you can contact the sale consignor / sale manager to confirm payment instructions. Please make sure that your account info is up-to-date and correct if you are the winning bidder of a lot as this is how the billing is sent to Sale manager and/ or Sale consignor.
If you require assistance with using the new DLMS Farm Gate web site, if you don’t understand how to create a favorites list or proxy bid, or you just plain want to bid via phone, please talk to any of the DLMS team.
ADJUSTED YEARLING WEIGHTS, SALE DAY WEIGHTS AND SCROTAL MEASUREMENTS WILL BE POSTED
Welcome from Graham Creek Ranch
Another year passes and we start to see a little light at the end of the tunnel for the cattle industry. The folks that remain love the cattle business and love their hard earned and honest lifestyle. Most importantly, we would like to thank our customers and thank each and every one of you for the perseverance and big hearts to never give up on this way of life. Our bull pen is cut up several times before we get to this point. If they are not developing the way we like they are not being sold. The data is pretty raw but factual. Right, wrong or otherwise we don’t use creep feed on pasture and these bull calves are raised the same way as our commercial calves. After weaning we bring these bulls in and feed them twice a day. They get a complete ration to promote growth and longevity as a breeding animal. We welcome you to the first ever Calico Creek and Graham Creek Speckle Park bull sale. Our program is mirrored with Calico Creek, to sell quality seed stock over quantity with no exceptions given. Thank you!
Mike, Lynda and family
Welcome from Calico Creek Speckle Park
Welcome to this new online event hosted with Graham Creek Ranch. The Calico Creek offering is one we are very proud to put forward and these bulls are the few to have made it past a very strict culling process. When taking pictures and videos the straw was put down over a foot of snow and some old straw and ended up being too deep, that was an error on our part. There is definitely nothing to hide with the feet and legs on this group, and we encourage you to come out and see these animals in person or contact me if you wish to see feet pictures. We would like to thank all past and future bidders and buyers, the crew at T bar C and DLMS, as well as the Minshull family.
Landon SpokowskiFROM THE DESKat T Bar...
Welcome to the 1st Annual Graham Creek Ranch and Calico Creek Speckle Park Bull and Female Sale on April 15 – 16, 2023.
These two programs have teamed together to share the progeny out of their small but elite herds. This top cut of Speckle Park yearling bulls should have breeder appeal. No doubt, the features “Konn” and “Keystone” are headliners, but the entire offering offers style, appeal, hair and muscle shape. The genetic diversity along with their low and optimal birth weights should appeal to breeders and ranchers alike. Stop by their farms and view the bulls in their natural settings or give Mike or Landon a call to discuss their lineup and the opportunities available. If we may be of assistance prior to, or sale day, feel free to contact any of the T Bar Team or myself, we will help you in a professional manner.

CALICO CREEK Konn 31K
Calico Creek Konn 31K is a very exciting young bull calf. He is thick, deep, long, level, square, smooth, and has overall great conformation and eye appeal. If you are after a bull with a little different pedigree that doesn’t give up on performance and quality, here’s your chance. He could also hit the show road this fall. His dam is an extremely maternal cow with an udder to dream of, just think of the daughters Konn will throw. Selling half interest. Contact for terms.

Kirby is the only Silvertip Great Leader son to sell this year. I’ve been very impressed with the growth and style to the Great Leader calves and Kirby is a good example of what he has sired. The dam to this bull is out of the amazing Putnam/Petula flush and has entered into my donor program herself now. Kirby is the biggest scrotal bull in my offering.
The length to this bull is incredible, he reminds of his dam’s full brother, Calico Creek Butane, but he’s even longer! I think this bull could do a lot of good in any purebred or commercial herd. Klassic is an ET calf that had a first calf heifer as a recip, and she did a great job on him. His full sibling brother is lot 4, Calico Creek Konvict, and their full sister sold last fall at Agribition.

Konvict was also raised by a heifer as an ET calf. He might not have all that length his brother has but he has a little more depth and width to him, much like his dam. There is a lot to appreciate about this bull and just think how good he would look out roaming your pasture.

This heifer was always destined to be a keeper from the day she was born, but I didn’t want to hold back for this sale so here she is. Her dam Epiphany has been an amazing producer that already has a few daughters working in my herd. Kloud Nine could be a foundation type of female for her new owner.

Kiki was being a bit of a diva in the picture pen and not giving us that perfect profile shot, but as you can tell she looks good from any angle. Like the two heifers before her, she should really be kept and put her to work in my own herd.
GRAHAM CREEK Keystone 003K
Keystone is the result of a flush we did on our Farryn 77F cow using River Hill Horatio 005H. When we purchased a share of Horatio our goal was straight forward; to produce calves just like this one. This is a bull that will add performance to his progeny without sacrificing the good maternal traits we all want in our replacement heifers. When walking into a pen of bulls at any place, these are the guys that catch everyone’s eye! They need to have presence and style, and this fella is no exception. Big hipped, small headed, tons of length, middle and muscle. His full sister, Graham Creek Farryn 002K was crowned grand champion heifer at Cattlemen’s Congress this past January. She sold to Stan and Paula Baucum (ND Ranch) of Waxahachie, Texas. Selling half interest. Contact for terms.
BULL BULL
55K is an attractive black sided young bull. He is moderate with nice depth and is well balanced. His Dam is a Crusader daughter we purchased from Silver Tip Speckle Park. We spent the day ahead of their dispersal to walk through the cattle and select honest, young working cows that would fit well in our program. She is exactly that and can raise the good ones. Despite the sale and being displaced to western Canada, she moved ahead and had another bull calf on Feb 20th this year. She is a solid footed cow that has a nice udder and great milk production. His sire, INC Assassin 777G needs no introduction and Assassin’s natural style and eye appeal is shining through here! The combination we feel gives 55K a very exciting future!

A stout made calf from the beginning with a moderate frame that is showing very good scrotal development. His dam is a no miss cow that raises one of the best calves each year. A full sister went to Highmark Stock Farm last year. If you are looking to create a package of speckled calves, these lighter coloured bulls throw the speckled calves (black sided) on solid coloured cows. It’s a question I hear very often and this is the answer to that. His calves will push the scale down at the auction mart.

First thing that comes to mind with the 38K bull is his prominent depth of heel and foot structure. He’s a soggy made bull with a quiet disposition like his Dam. His Dam is an easy keeping, feminine type matron that calved here on Feb 7. He is sired by Silver Tip Fabio 03F, a very impressive bull to see in the flesh, expressing body mass and muscle the way a mature bull should. 03F is now working for Marv Forsythe in Utah. Take a good look, this bull would work well over heifers or cows in any program.

Here’s a bull that will cover some heifers and leave things trouble free at calving time. 43K has added length but is smooth made and clean fronted. He has excellent scrotal circumference. His dam STS 35C is an easy keeping $, easy to look at brood cow that has all the characteristics the cowboys like to see. The kind that raises a good calf every year without breaking down or costing you in groceries.
BULL BULL
Again we are offering up a couple half blood bulls. I’ve said before, these bulls are maternally selected from birth, only giving consideration to the best Black Angus cows on the ranch. His dam, SF 240 is the epitome of the “pasture queens”. These bulls are not add ons for a sale. We have producer’s that want the hybrid bulls and want to sustain a little more black angus in their quest. Repeat buyers is all we need to continue on with a straightforward ideal. 240k is out of our River Hill Gustov 963G herd sire. High performance, big scrotal, early maturing and easy keeping.
Graham Creek 239K
This 239K is a big volume type bull. Tons of body and growth as an F1 should. Sired by Graham Creek Francis 61F and out of a big powerful working cow gives him that added length and jam. I sound like a broken record, but Speckle Park with Black Angus is a dynamite cross! These bulls will go out and work!
