30 years is a long time. 30 years of bulls, customers, friends and family connected through the Tools of the Trade Annual Bull & Female sale feels like quite an accomplishment and fills us with pride and gratitude. Thank you for helping us get to our 30th Annual Sale.
2024 was one for the record books around here. As most of you will already know, we love to show breeding cattle. It’s a great way for us to showcase our program, connect with new and repeat customers and have a little fun along the way. Our year included exhibiting 3 animals that went undefeated in their divisions, 3 Agribition Supreme qualifiers in 2 breeds, 2 Alberta Supreme qualifiers and was capped off by winning both the Agribition and Alberta Supremes with Red Wilbar Hennessy 3K. That is something a Red Angus bull has never done before.
When you start looking in the red pen, you’ll find Stranglehold, the undefeated senior bull calf as Lot 1 offered in his entirety. His quality is matched by a paternal brother and a group of paternal brothers to his sire, Hennessy himself. Add in a nice group of half brothers to our 2024 high seller, Admission, sons of 2022 high seller, Intuition, our strongest and largest offering of Quarterback sons and new sire group from Moonie.

Raising Registered Angus Since 1963
The black group is headlined by a group of extremely high quality sons of Dexterity (Reserve National Champion, Agribition Supreme qualifier). Their pen mates include and exciting pair of Big Valley sons, two flushmates to the $50,000 Wilbar Sarita 653M as well as some intriguing sons of 4Real and Glaciers. All that without even mentioning the exceptional sons of 2022 high seller Milestone and Rainman.
Our goal each year is to offer you the best we ever have and we are proud to say that goal has been achieved this year. We are pleased to present our strongest, most consistent group to date. Whether you are shopping in the black pen or the red pen, the group is sound, functional, hairy, gentle and growthy.
As in past years, the bulls have been developed on a forage based ration with longevity in mind. The ration includes cereal silage, brown oats, tub ground hay and the Bullseye protein/mineral supplement to ensure proper growth and development. This ration promotes overall health, hair growth, foot quality, fertility and libido.
The bulls are parent verified, fertility tested, carcass evaluated and performance tested. Our goal is to provide you with the information you require to make the selection that best suits your needs.
Please stop in ahead of the sale for a tour of the sale group, their mothers & sisters and the commercial heifers.
We look forward to seeing you at our 30th annual sale! The bulls will be on display at 10 and lunch is at 11:30. If you are unable to join us in person, please register on DLMS or connect with us or any of our awesome sale staff on the phone.
Thank you,

The Annual Tools of the Trade is truly a highlight in the livestock industry. Backed by an elite breeding operation that was founded in 1963, the folks at Wilbar present an outstanding lineup of Angus bulls… sires that will greatly affect breeders and ranchers as we move forward in this exciting cattle industry.
The twelfth day of March, 2025 will be opportunity day at the farm near Dundurn, Saskatchewan as Bryan, Tracey and family host their 30th annual “Tools of the Trade” by sharing their breeding program with you. Wilbar Cattle Co. is a household name in the Angus breed and is often referred to as producing quality seedstock.
This was never more evident than last fall as Wilbar Hennessy 3K dominated the show ring being selected Grand Champion Bull at Olds, National Champion and Supreme Bull at Farm Fair and Canadian Western Agribition where he was selected the SUPREME CHAMPION BEEF BULL in the Nation and his first son, Red Wilbar Stranglehold 814M, Lot 1, was named Senior Bull Calf Champion and is a feature in Tools of the Trade 2025. Three sons of the Supreme Champion will sell in addition to eight paternal brothers’ sired by Red Wilbar Highlight. In addition to this diverse powerful group of red bulls, you will find a half dozen sons sired by the calving ease Quarterback son.
The Black Angus offering is solid from end to end in type and kind. Optimal in frame size, packed full of muscle mass, hair and testicles, they come to you with performance numbers in weaning and yearling weight without sacrificing calving and maternal values. The sons of Dexterity, Big Valley, Glacier, Milestone and Rainman offer many herd sire possibilities for breeders and ranchers alike. The Barricade X Sarita bulls are full brothers to the heifers featured in Opportunity Knocks and will be highlights in this event as well.
Bryan and Tracey travel many miles, always searching for new sires to supply their many customers with new and fresh genetics adding to their highly predictable cow herd base. The commercial heifers are straight bred, uniform in size and type and will be valuable replacements for any type of program.
Plan to be with us for this outstanding and exciting offering of Red and Black Angus breeding stock… an event you should not miss. Feel free to stop by the farm anytime prior to the sale or just give them a call to discuss the bulls that will enhance the value of your breeding program.
If we, at T Bar C may be of any assistance prior to or sale day, do not hesitate to call any of our team and we will be pleased to assist in a professional and confidential manner.

• A trio of flush mates out of the Kylie and Owen’s Koyle Echo 104 donor
• Sired by the Duff-JC 4Real bull who we have used now for a couple of years now. We love the body, rib and muscle 4Real breeds into his progeny. The bulls are muscular and masculine while the daughters are nice fronted and attractive with big sweeping ribcages and good udder quality
• These 3 gentle natured bulls follow suit with the type and kind of their sire. Throw in the performance of SAV America and the maternal strength of the Echo cow, you pack quite a genetic punch
• The maternal granddam was a past Agribition Supreme Champion Female for Blairs.Ag
• Paternal brothers to our Reality Check 137K herd bull

EXECUTIVE DECISION 5’17 WILBAR LUCY 9J WILBAR LUCY 735G
• This is a bull that I like more and more as he matures. He resembles his impressive sire and grandsire a bunch.
• Sale Feature
• Here is a pretty cool shaped bull that will add value to a pasture of heifers
• Moderate framed, big topped and robust hipped
• This hairy specimen is out of one of our beloved South Point daughters. Known for maternal calving-ease and improving udder quality
• A big hipped, attractive patterned bull that would work great in a heifer pasture
• His sire Executive Order was a past $20,000 high seller to Everblack Angus. He sires easy doing cattle with body and mass. His daughters have perfect tidy udders
• Indexed 107 off a first calf heifer
• His dam is a very feminine Countdown daughter. She has what we would consider a perfect udder. She is a daughter of our 781C donor cow who is the dam of the $17,000 Wilbar Milestone 48J at Westway and Riverfront Angus. A full sister to 203K was a past $20,000 sale feature at the Angus Collection sale selling to Hidden Valley Ranch, Australia
• What would a Wilbar sale be without a South Point? This feature calving ease bull was an in-dam purchase from the good people at Brandl Cattle Co. He is sired by a $15,000 South Point 8362 son that Brandl’s purchase from us. His dam is a powerful Ellingson Rider Pride daughter
• Starting out at a modest 76 lbs this bull offers versatility to be used on heifers with confidence and stout and powerful enough to use on your top cows as well
• Balanced trait bull
• Craftsman was the no. 1 sire for registrations in the US in 2024. His progeny has powerful phenotype, expressive muscle, are longbodied with explosive growth and balance.
• If length and a little extra frame is what you are after, consider this bull as a good option
• His dam was purchased from the great LLB herd and has been a very productive cow. Her first calf was a $19,000 sale feature in the Opportunity Knocks 3.0 sale to Hamilton Farms and her second is a top replacement for us.

• We were drawn to Glacier for his striking phenotype and the powerful cows behind him
• These bulls have an incredible amount of substance and style. They carry a good amount of muscle and present themselves in attractive form
• The dam is a popular donor around our pastures. She is an Elite dam indexing 106 on 6 calves. She is a huge volume type female with an udder that we consider ideal.
• We have 5 flush mate sisters to these bulls in the replacement pen that we are very excited about and another sold last fall to Ashley Kattler
• Lot 37 is 5D’s natural calf

• Another attractive patterned Glacier son. Length and middle are very evident and a stylish, proud front 1/3
• This one comes with a very useable birth weight
• His dam is a flush mate to the $20,000 Wilbar Executive Order bull at Everblack. She is huge ribbed, super hairy with a perfect udder. Easy to spot in the pasture.
• A high-octane growth bull that started out with a modest 84 lb birth weight and then turned on the jets to index 109 at weaning and 127 at yearling
• He’s a bigger structured bull that could work well on some mature cows
• His dam was Kylie’s 4-H heifer. She is a larger framed Three Rivers daughter out of our 781C donor. 781C is the dam to the Milestone bull we’ve been using along with a new, exciting bull called Staying Power that you’ll hear about in the future

• Here is a bull with all the tools of the trade
• If we were to draw up a design of an ideal structured bull with all the characteristic balance we look for in a herd bull, 697M could be the poster bull
• Wide over his top carrying down into a capacious rib cage and then transitioning to a proud, smooth and attractive front end
• He is the last calf out of a really good cow, the old 584B cow. If you had a whole herd of females that looked like her you’d be proud as punch. Broody, massive bodied with a perfect udder
• She has daughters in the herd to carry on her legacy and sons have sold to Dwajo Angus, Bench Colony, Lost River Farming, Eagle Creek Colony and McMahon Angus
• If you need added rib shape and depth of side in your herd, have a close look at Windfall
• He has impressive volume that seems to come naturally to sons of his dam
• She is a donor in our herd for her very productive nature and high level of udder quality
• We have two daughters working in our herd
• A full brother was a $15,000 sale feature to Murray Ranches
Maternal Grand Dam, Wilbar Mayflower 507B
• Long bodied bull with some extra frame to reach mature cows
• The Rainman bulls have been a part of our sale for a few years now. They have been accepted very well for their muscle and carcass traits. His daughters in production is possibly the best part though…they are some of the nicest uddered heifers we’ve seen
• Adding to the maternal value of this bull would be the cows behind him. His dam 25D and granddam 507B are CAA Elite
• The only other son she had sold to long-time customer Greg Seib
• A premium quality calving-ease bull that presents a long-balanced body with good muscle shape
• His dam is CAA elite indexing 105 on 7 calves. She is no stranger to producing sale bulls.
• Sons have sold to Perry Libke, Lost River Farming and Chris Holmes

• This is a sleep all night kind of heifer bull
• He ranks in top percentiles of the breed for calving ease and the top percentile of the breed for maternal calving ease
• For as elite a heifer bull as he has, his performance is still about average with the breed
• His productive Countdown dam is a granddaughter of our 507B donor
• Now here is a bull that is plum full of natural muscle and came with a user-friendly BW of 84 lbs
• This is the youngest bull in the sale and won’t be 1 yr old till after the sale on March 25th
• Don’t overlook this guy due to his age. There is a lot of potential in this guy as he matures
• His dam a treasured Mayflower and a maternal sister to lot 62 tracing back to our 507B donor cow
• Here is a late February born bull that has all the same quality as his older pen mates when you consider he is a month younger than most of the others
• He offers some shape and style along with the performance that Custom Made sons regularly do
• His dam is the last living daughter of Wilbar Eastwood that we have. They are such good cows in production and to look at that we are seriously considering using him again. 500B is the maternal granddam of feature lot 43

• Here is a cool made bull that would be an outcross to quite a few mainstream pedigrees
• He offers a big spread from birth to weaning 75 lbs at birth to 804 lbs at weaning, not bad for a heifer’s first shot at motherhood. I really like the head and front end on this bull, how it transitions so smoothly into a wide based, stout body
• His dam is a hard working, good uddered Executive Order cow. The Jennifer cows have been very productive for us
