DNA:
All Balamore bulls on offer will have been DNA tested for Homo Polled, Coat Colour, Sire Verified and 100K. The Limousin bulls have been tested for F94L (the muscling gene.)

A breeder’s true strength is exhibited in their ability to consistently produce high end, quality cattle that meet the demands of the industry. Balamore Farm does just that, while also serving customers from coast to coast, and a genetic pool that continues to stay outcross for annual buyers. The Balamore program is admirable in how hard they strive to manufacture a product that has become sought after by some of the most progressive purebred and commercial operations in North America. We would heavily recommend you take the time to tour through the cow herd in each breed division in Great Village and see the true maternal strength and quality of their large cow herd.
The Charolais offering comes to the forefront, as the reputation the precedes these bulls lives up to the stock. These are cattle made to impress and achieve the ultimate goal of enhancing your bottom line; they have lots of shape, a balanced design, and that trademark thickness. The Limousin portion is the bread and butter of Balamore. The offering is backed up by fantastic momma cows and are what originally put Balamore on the map. It is becoming extremely difficult to find high quality Limousin bulls, and Balamore has the goods. The Simmental and Angus sections are growing year after year, and while smaller in numbers, they have the same emphasis as the other breeds that make up this herd. The genetic lines are as good as you’ll find, with all of the credentials and reputation.
Like many, the Cooper family are busy people, but I challenge you to find someone with the knowledge and energy that Joe and his family has. The 2025 Charolais bulls are filled with an assembly of cattle that best exemplifies the Balamore kind. If you are looking for a calving ease specialist or a true performance sire, rest assured they will have the Balamore stamp of look, depth, and muscle shape. The Lone Stars and Frontiers offer a new outcross option while proven sires such as Justice, Powermax, and Hummer still continue to excel. We are very excited about this years set of extra thick Limo bulls. The introduction of the Australian outcross Flemington Ready to Roll R20 has left us with an exceptional set of Homozygous Black coming 2-year-olds. As we transition into our Simmental bulls there is an eye-catching group of 8200 sired extra age bulls as well as a massive son of the Trailblazer bull that has done so well for us and others. Our Angus group is smaller in numbers but high in quality. We are both excited and sad to offer the last group of Balamore Gold sons. That bull has done so much for us in terms of adding muscle shape and performance while still providing an excellent brood cow on the female end. We thought so highly of his purple son on offer we gave him our entire group of summer Red Angus calving cows. To top it off the pair of Red Angus bulls are excellent options for those looking to calve heifers or retain females.

SLOPE FARMS
Eugene and Sylvia Axley, along with their son Karsten and daughter Kira, own and operate North Slope Farms in Czar, Alberta. They breed approximately 400 head of Limousin-influenced cows with the purpose of selling high-yielding, growthy cattle to feedlots in the West and Ontario.
The Axleys have been great customers of Balamore, buying a bull in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024 at the Annual “Thickness Sells” Bull Sale. We are proud to say that they have used these bulls on their impressive cow herd with outstanding results. This past fall, they had, at the time, one of the highest sales in history, with their steer calves selling for $5.20/lb at 585lbs on an internet auction, grossing $3042/calf. This turned out to be a premium of almost $400/calf over the next highest lots in that weight range. A combination of good genetics, excellent management and a reputation for integrity have all contributed to the Axley’s success, and their cattle prove that “Thickness Sells”.
