LUNCH 11:30 AM SALE 1:00PM

Welcome...

Hello and welcome to the 27th annual Crescent Creek Bull and Female Sale. We would like to thank our valued customers and friends who make this special event happen. For many this very well may be the 27th “welcome” that you have read. This valued friendship and dedication to our program is what makes us strive to bring the best product forward. A product that will enhance all your programs. The livestock industry is on fire and we could not be happier for all the success you are capturing.

The offering once again is one we are very proud of. The consistency of our program is paying huge benefits for all those involved. The walking bulls represent over 80% of the offering. The “ET” program is backed by our superior cow familities, mated to some of the most recognized “proven” sires in the breed. As in the 27 previous sales these bulls are beef bulls. Excellent muscle, large testicles and very agile. The females are once again from the top of the pool, and ready to carry on strong cow families. The service we strive to provide is one thing we are very proud of. It doesn’t cost you a nickel to keep the bulls here, and we deliver them on our dime.

Thanks to all the sale day staff who help us put this sale on. The clipping crew, to the photography, videoing, online buying services, catalogue, and the lunch crew. Everyone comes together to make this event a reality. In the last 27 years the “bull buying experience” has sure changed.

Once again, feel free to stop in anytime to talk cattle or whatever comes to mind. 27 years of the 70 years we have been breeding Angus cattle seems like a very short time. Take care,

The Olynyks

A “brand”...

is a mark of the man and encompasses that proud moment when a man stamps his identity on the hide. A brand declares ownership, labels a man’s identity, tags him with responsibility, and totals his worth. But a man’s brand is about more than just a symbol of ownership, it is also a representation of the people behind it.

Our cattle proudly carry the Crescent Creek brand.

Welcome from OBI

Welcome to the 27 th Annual Crescent Creek Angus Farms Bull & Female Sale. It has been great to work with some of the best folks in the Angus Industry. I am very proud to be associated with this family.

It was a cool day in February when I went thru the bulls this year, but one thing didn’t change was the quality of the bulls in the pens. Big topped, good footed, well muscled, docile bulls that sure will grab your attention. The sire groups on offer are sure consistent this year. ET Calves are sure going to be at the top of the list as well. The key here is the cows that back these bulls up. The cow herd at Crescent Creek is so uniform with cow families being the consistent. If you haven’t ever toured them, you are missing out.

Again, this year, you will be very impressed with the females on offer. They come right from the heart of the program with great pedigrees. The cow families here are the key again, these females will go into your operation and take your program to the next level. Numerous females have gone to new homes and have been cornerstones to their programs.

I have been thru the offering and the herd many times and know the cow families; buy with confidence here. If you need any assistance, please do not hesitate to call myself or any of the sales staff.

YOUNG BULLS LAST AS LONG AS THEY CAN. AS WE TALK TO OUR CUSTOMER BASE WE THINK IT IS WORKING. MANY HERD BULLS LASTING MULTIPLE YEARS FOR THEIR OWNERS. WE NEVER FEED TO COMPROMISE BREEDING OR STRUCTURAL SOUNDNESS. AS IN THE PAST THE BULLS ARE HAND FED BROWN OAT AND PROTEIN PELLET RATION WITH FREE CHOICE HAY. WE STRIVE FOR A THREE POUND A DAY GAIN, AND THE BULLS ARE FED WITH THIS IN MIND. THE BULL CALVES WERE WEANED SEPTEMEBER 25.

THE FEMALES WERE WEANED OCTOBER 2 AND PUT ON BANKED GRASS UNTIL MID NOVEMBER, THEN MOVED TO SWATH GRAZING UNTIL MID DECEMBER, AT WHICH TIME THEY WERE SWITCHED TO A BROWN OAT AND PELLET RATION. IT IS AMAZING HOW WELL THESE YOUNG FEMALES DID ON EXTENDED GRAZING. ACTUAL WEANING WEIGHTS ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

Herd

ALL BREEDING FEMALES & BULLS WILL HAVE HAD THEIR PRE-BREEDING EXPRESS FP5 VACCINE AND BLACKLEG BOOSTER PRIOR TO LEAVING THE YARD. THE CATTLE HAVE HAD PLENTY OF EXERCISE IN LARGE PENS, AND ARE VERY FREE MOVING.

WMO 6M – Here is a bull that has great muscle expression, shape, feet, and testicle. Backed by one of our most consistent producers 39B. A bull for anyone who wants to buy proven genetics then look here, Resource 1441 x 39B. With 3300 progeny (Resource 1441) to date, you can’t go wrong with proven pedigrees.

WMO 14M- Here is a calving ease bull backed by maternal power. Double bred Donna 714, 14M offers a moderate package, along with structural soundness and large testicle. A bull we see everyday get better and better. If you’re looking for a pedigree twist, then look here!

WMO 53M – Here is a bull that makes the angus breed what it is. Muscle, hip, hair, testiThe 712’s have no issue standing out, the same can be said for this muscle machine. Length, muscle, testicle, and structurally sound. You can’t beat a bull that is built for weaning off big calves and leaving you a set of replacement females. Backed by the great Eula 80F, who’s a daughter off the great 190T. A cow who needs no introduction to raising the good ones.

WOS 69M – The favorite of the 712’s, this bull is a moderate package with big muscle, big nuts, and great foot. Out of the oldest and most proven cow family around: Gammer. His dam was pick of the heifer calves from Dwajo few years ago. And she hasn’t missed a beat yet! A great pick for you next herd bull.

Selling Choice

DAM OF LOT 5

WOS 58M – HERD BULL ALERT. We absolutely love this bull! This bull offers huge capacity, big hip, great feet, and the great angus herd bull look. Backed by Wade’s favorite cow: CC Mistress 188D.

The definition of a “No Miss” cow. This cow is our top female producer and we have kept all daughters for in herd use, with her being grandmother to the best heifer in our replacement pen. The only issue? She is always having bulls! Good news for our customers who want a big powerful herd bull. We retained 80L last year for in herd use and his calves are looking like knockouts this winter, here’s your chance to add a top-notch cow bull. With top 15% in weaning weight, he’ll break your bank come weaning, and with top 30% in yearling weight he’ll have the top bulls in your bull sale. Best part is, being backed by a super cow like 188D, he’ll leave you females that will be at the top of the replacement pen, or your next donor.

WOS 137M – A bull that really stands out among his brothers. With great shape and testicle. The Joan family is small but a powerful family here. With many sale topping bulls and females out of the Joans. 9175 is still here at the farm, with over 14 progeny to date. She is showing some age, but you won’t find a cow with better feet, tight udder, and maternal instincts.

WOS 86M – TOP 2% IN CALVING EASE. This bull would be one of Wade’s pen favorites. A moderate frame bull packed with muscle and hip. A bull with a lot of hair and shape, backed by a phenotypically beautiful female. Heroine cow family has always made the good ones.

WMO 31/031M – If you saw these two brothers in the pen, you’d never tell they are twins. Both pack serious muscle, hip, and length. These are stand out studs in the pen and will leave you a large set of calves at weaning. Top 25% in weaning weights and backed by a good ole Ivanhoe cow that just never stops producing.

S A V BISMARCK 5682 X CRESCENT CREEK EULA 68E

Take a look here at these 4 full sib flush brothers! We were over the hill excited to add 68E to our donor pen. Her mother 22X was flushed, and grandmother 190T flushed as well. With both leaving huge impacts on our herd, as you can see in the book. We took the chance to flush such a amazing cow back to 2 proven sires, Resource and Bismarck. With the hopes of building females off these bulls. With 5 flush calves in the sale off her and another 6 full sibs in the replacement pen, I’d say a successful flush. Take a look here if you want to add a flush brother to your herd, off one of the most proven cow families we have. Bismark has over 2800 calves to date, and him producing some of the biggest names in the Angus breed as well. The Bismarck sons are moderate, hairy, clean fronted, with big hip, and Angus heads. We feel these bulls will go out and leave a great set of replacement heifers for anyone. A cross between consistency and maternal power of 68E, which to date might be the most proven memento daughter to walk CCA. The lone wolf of the flush, Resource x 68E is another bull we should have kept. If you need proven genetics off a proven cow then look here, we feel this is one of the most exciting flush matings we have done to date. With over 5000 calves on the ground between these 2 sires, you can’t go wrong with consistency.

his 712 brothers share when it comes to make and structure. Add one extra box here, backed by the great Stumpie cow family. Known as the cow family that great CC Pacesetter 16U came from. Who bred till he was 12 years old. Look at longevity built in here.

WOS 89M – I would say this is the MATERNAL pedigree of the sale. No one needs an introduction to 3589 and what he has done for our program, and for Silas’s (Chapman Cattle Co.). With cows like 434P and 5752R, you have a great start. Yet stack 2338 and Baranda 104Y on top, who a few years ago had a heifer calf a part of the $20,000 choice of heifers. Plus add 11 progeny on top of that and still here working away as a Y. Here is a bull that will leave you donor cows in the pen, or a building block in your growing herd. Note 3589 has 159 calves in his short working career and 3 current donors in our program with embryo bulls in the sale (68E,74E,188D). With numerous other daughters having natural calves in the sale. With embryo’s in the tank, 3589 will make a comeback in years to come. Wade’s pick of the sale here!

WOS 16M – Another first-time son of our herd sire 16K, a bull we are so excited about his future. 16M has a sharp angus head and a moderate frame packed with muscle and hip. A bull that keeps getting better and better everyday. Mark this guy down!

Sire of Lot 18

30M leads off our 29K offering. Backed by the great Payweight 1682 daughter (5K). 30K is halter broke and is a docile and impressive bull. Great feet, testicle, hip, and muscle. Backed by the great 22X donor, who is shown multiple times in this years sale offering, maybe this is the bull we should have kept!

The first time offering of the great Boundary Justified bulls. We are extremely excited to add these genetics to our herd. These bulls are built ideally for your heifer bull needs. Low birth weights, with smooth shoulders, and small heads. Our first-year calving heifers bred to 29K; we didn’t pull one! Calves with vigor and growth. We are extremely excited to see these quality bulls go out and work.

DTZ 105M –Another muscle packed 29K son 105M is a long-made bull with hair, length, hip, and structurally sound. This bull carries the “DTZ” tattoo, started by Mike and Irene, which represents 70 years of breeding here. Mom (Irene), is still very active in day to day operations. She still checks the summer pastures every morning.

Lot 21

KOS 63M – A real thick, hard muscled 29K son. This bull was one of the 3 pen bulls we showed this year. The best part of all the 29k sons is their perfect foot. Another great heifer bull option, with the great Stumpie backing. A successful flush a few years ago has yielded a great set of young K cows off a cow making machine, McCumber Tribute 702.

is a

standout. A Flush that worked out

and left us with a couple great Stumpie cows off 9R x Tribute. Maternal power houses.

WOS 78M – At top 5% calving ease, you know this bull is ideal for all your heifer needs. Note the Outside in the pedigree, who has left us the hardest working female cows to date. The grandmother of this bull is the Elite Dam CC 40B. A great bull backed by a even better pedigree.

- Rocking W Ranch, The Winters Family

Heifers

As the hype of the spring bull sale season approaches, we are no different than other seedstock producers. We try to put our best foot forward and present outstanding young herd bull prospects. More recently though, we have been very focused on presenting to you what we think are the backbones of many very successful operations. That, of course, is the mother cow. Year after year our heifer selection has been improving to the point that we are truly holding nothing back. We feel very fortunate in the fact that this selection is due to the many years of breeding sound Angus females with traits that make the breed so popular.

Last fall as we drove out and checked these young females as they chewed away on swaths, you had to be impressed at how well they adapted. I called them my little cow herd. This was a true test of feed conversion. As you study the offering you can see it didn’t hurt their development at all.

Each and every year we look forward to the sale offering of females with as much excitement as the bulls. Our sale group seems to get stronger every year as well. We attribute part of that to the fact of so many of our sale heifers coming from the youngest brood cows in the herd. The newest and freshest genetics from the time tested cow families. No better time to get into some of the best we have to offer. Be prepared to see ,truly one of the finest offerings.

Remember 60% down sale day, 40% October 1, 2025. Value like that is hard to match! No footnotes necessary, because this female offering speaks for itself.

We have seen these young females go on and produce for their new owner’s sale cattle, show cattle, and embryo dams. This is one thing that is very important to us. It is no small task to offer such a large part of our breeding program for sale, over so many years, and yet still maintain a brood cow herd to bring high quality offering year in and year out.

Regardless of your needs or price range, we will have heifers that you can depend on
