Welcome to our 13th Annual Bull Sale! What a great time to be in the cow business! The strongest cattle market we’ve ever seen, with talk of even higher prices to come!
On behalf of our entire family, it is our pleasure to welcome you to our 13th Annual Sale. We invite you to join us on Tuesday, March 11 to sort through our largest and deepest set of bulls to date. There will be plenty of high quality options to choose from, be it performance or calving ease, we will have a great selection to evaluate. New this year will be some outcross sire groups; SAV Scale House 0845, Brooking Cracker Jack 2051, Six Mile Showman 71K and Peak Dot Brutus 324K. These bulls have been selected with you our customers in mind. They are bulls out of exceptional momma cows that offer plenty of performance without sacrificing calving ease. Again we are excited to have Nu-Horizon Angus supply the Red Angus bulls for our sale. They have been a welcome addition to the sale and are great folks to work with. Kodie, Kieran and Deb work hard to bring you a very uniform set of bulls each spring to choose from.

HERD HEALTH: All sale cattle are born to cows and heifers vaccinated with Express FP in compliance with label directions and are covered under the Express Guarantee and the persistent-Infection-Free calf program from Boehringer Ingelheim LTD. Our calves are then vaccinated with Pyramid FP5 + Presponse SQ. They have had their booster at weaning and will also need the last booster before breeding 2025 to maintain their Express and BI Prime Verified Guarantee.
All bulls will be semen tested and available sale day. Updated information will be available on sale day.
HLC reserves the right to in herd use semen on any of the bulls selling. If semen is collected it will be at the buyers convenience and sellers expense.

Scale House was the top selling bull out of the 2021 SAV bull sale at $275,000 purchased by Voss Angus. Well for us, it would be this guy, 411 has got a herd bull look to him with length of body, stoutness of hip, width of top, with a great set of running gear. He is out of an exceptional female who goes back to the great Erica cow family. We think this one is big time. You’ll travel a lot of miles to find a bull as good and as fault free as this one. He comes from the most famous cow family in the breed today and is sired by the now deceased Renewal, a bull who left some outstanding females and placed some very good sons into some very good homes. The homework is done on this bull, if you need one bred for consistency, here’s your bull.

3/4 Brothers by Renewal out of Rainfall sired females that are just about identical. If you want to turn a couple brothers out and get a super consistent set of calves, I don’t think you’ll find a better pair than these two to get the job done. Both are Heifer safe, and offer an exceptional look in a stout, moderate, hairy package. Two bulls I really really like. Recommended for heifers.
When analyzing these brothers by Renewel you will notice the consistency in muscle shape, thickness and eye appeal. 459 is an extremely long bodied individual with a stout hip and a big solid top. Here is a bull with as much muscle shape and expression as any bull in the sale. He is big topped, stout, and out of a gorgeous female purchased from LLB. Big time calving ease bull from one of our newest walking bulls Brooking Cracker Jack 2051. So far he has been used exclusively on heifers with exceptional results. He calves extremely easy and his calves have a ton of vigour and exceptional growth. I was blown away by the power and muscle these calves had at weaning time and all through the summer, I think it’s exactly what we need from our calving ease bulls. Not only do they need to calve with ease, but they need to have some growth and performance to them from birth on. This bull comes from a gorgeous female with an outcross pedigree for our herd. Firstly, we would like to thank our bidders and buyers from past years’ sales for having trust in our program. This will be our seventh year offering Red Angus bulls in conjunction with the Hollinger Land and Cattle Bull Sale.
We are excited about the bulls we have consigned this year. There are three different sires to choose from, leading bloodlines in the industry. Whether you are looking for a heifer, cow or a bull that can work both ways, there are options to cover your needs. We feel this offering is an impressive, uniform group. -From 12 hours old, we always knew 404M would be a highlight. He had “the look” from a young age.
-404M is extended and long bodied; he should definitely add pounds to a calf crop.
-He is a great footed bull and longevity will be an asset to his progeny. -404M was on display in the yards. Many passersby were able to see what a great disposition he has. Just ask Mom what she thinks about the Metric calves. If she would have had it her way, she would have had a pen of three at Agribition.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Terms:
The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.
Certificate of Registration:
Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association, unless otherwise specified. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.
Pedigree Estimates:
Pedigree Estimates (PE) are created on the projected mating of the animal’s sire and dam based on averages of the two, creating estimated values that do not hold the same accuracy of actual EPDs issued from the association and should be used as such.
Health:
All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.
Guarantee:
Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Angus Association with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness.
Liabilities:
All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The sellers, facility owner, auctioneer and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur. It is understood that T Bar C CattleCo. (2013) Ltd. is acting only as a medium between buyer and seller and is not responsible for any failure on the part of either part to live up to his obligations. Neither does T Bar C CattleCo. (2013) Ltd. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties and any legal action that may in exceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer and the seller. T Bar C CattleCo. (2013) Ltd. assumes no responsibility for any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. Delivery:
Every assistance will be given in getting your purchases home. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.

Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.
Insurance:
