Welcome to the 11th Annual CMT Farms Bull and Female Sale on March 25, 2025, at the farm, Cochin, Saskatchewan. A great agricultural family operation dedicated to the breed and the livestock industry. In addition to their purebred operation, they run a very large commercial cow/calf unit. The commercial herd acts as a barometer for progress in the purebred herd along with listening to their customers needs.
Chad has extra “punch” in his calf crop… pounds mean profit. Many of the bulls at CMT are out-cross sires to the breed and those of repeat customers. Check out the weaning and yearling weights, awesome and very uniform in frame and shape. The 2025 lineup is rugged, hairy, with plenty of muscle and eye appeal. The bulls are out of the powerful cowherd at CMT, so you will want to retain all the daughters true maternal strength comes with every bull.
In this exciting cattle market, a feature of this event is the fifty replacement heifers selling. What an opportunity to acquire herd builders along with the new herd bulls, you select.

Hello and welcome to our 11th annual bull and female sale. First off, we would like to thank our past and present customers for believing and supporting our Angus program. It is cliche but, once again we believe this is the strongest set of bulls, we have put on offer to date.
We at CMT Farms believe we have a bull to fit your needs. Our goal at CMT Farms is to focus on the mother cow. We strive to achieve this by culling for udders, feet, fertility, mothering ability, and performance.
There are some new sire lines on offer this year including, BAR-E-L Boulder 47K and DBRL Capone 4K. We believe these bulls are our next step in the right direction being out of some of the best cows in the industry.
These bulls have been culled for disposition, soundness and type. These bulls are athletic and ready to go out and breed cows. That being said we at CMT will guarantee our bulls for any breeding issues and always have extras for our customers.

Group of 50 replacement commercial heifers. Will have current vaccinations. Selling in groups of five.
Reference Sires
Boulder was our pick and a high seller in Bar-E-L’s final bull sale. He is a son out of the great Magnolia-Duchess cow family that has done it all at Bar-E-L. His dam has turned into a donor cow at Murray Ranches. 47K’s calves are muscular with lots of nuts, shape and length while being moderate in frame and size. 47K has seen heavy use in 2024 and will have many more calves here in coming years.
4K is a bull we bought ½ of from Diamond B Ranch. Alcatraz son out of Bride 28C. You’ll drive many miles all over the country to find a cow with as much phenotype as 28C. 4K is a larger framed, heavier boned, big, solid footed bull with lots of hair, length and big nuts.
Gunslinger is a bull we selected in 2020. He was a big bodied, deep sided bull out Paynes donor cow RRD 28Z that has many sons and females working in purebred herds. His daughters here have not disappointed, they are milky, deep bodied, wedge-shaped females that are the right kind.
